Hatting 118 Posted January 28, 2015 Finally I got around to try some minipainting! had much trouble with the eys and the shadows in general. Primed white, added black parts and coloured shoulders, tried washing with a mix of grey and black wash, adjusted with white and then a matt/satin varnish to seal the deal. They are not perfect but I'm pretty satisfied with them I think 4 JETxGREEN, DaFrenchOne, Budgernaut and 1 other reacted to this
Xero Anarian 27 Posted January 29, 2015 Hmm... what paints are you using? Maybe it's from the picture quality, but it looks like they were layered on VERY thick... like some of the white parts almost look like icing to me... I have never painted miniatures before this, and used this video as a tutorial for painting my Stormies, and I'd highly recommend it. In the end, as long as you're happy, that's what matters! Hatting 118 Posted January 29, 2015 I use Vallejo Game. I made quite a lot of error that had to be corrected and probably should have thinned the paint a little more, but I got quite impatient at times
