SpikeSpiegel 2,077 Posted January 27, 2015 I plan on running this at an upcoming local tournament: Bounty Hunter (33) Recon Specialist (3) (36) Omicron Group Pilot (21) Darth Vader (3) (24) Patrol Leader (40) Total: 100 The dilemma I have is do I run Recon Specialist on the Firespray or ditch her for Rebel Captive on either the Firespray or Decimator. RecSpec definitely offers both offensive and defensive modifiers, but I was wondering if Rebel Captive would be more effective strategically by stressing out opposing ships? I'm looking forward to combating Phantoms, Fat Hans and Dashes and Admiral Chiraneus this weekend and I didn't want to go to my default double 1300 build! Deepspace5 187 Posted January 29, 2015 Yeah, normally Recon Specialist is auto-include for any Firespray, but in this case I think Rebel Captive is more important to have on the Decimator. The Decimator poses the biggest threat to a Phantom player (or any ship that relies on arc-dodging) so that will be either their first or their last target. If they take out everything else first and save it for last, that can work to your advantage. If they go after it early and get stressed you can use that to your advantage. Keep in mind that as good as Recon Specialist is on the Firespray, it does nothing unless the opponent is actively targeting you. It is definitely a deterrence, but in this case Rebel Captive wins. The other two can still fire once past and Oicunn can bump. I wonder what is the most bumps someone has done with him in a game? I have had a few with only 1 and even 1 without any lol.
