junkygood 4 Posted January 26, 2015 My friend and I have an upcoming store tournament (60min timed, no Scum Factions), so, we've been play testing lists vs. meta. We expect to see lots of Fat Decimators (expose & EI Chiraneau , Ramming Oicunn) with Whisper or Echo accompaniment. Typical Fat Hans. Chewie and Dash. Howlrunner TIE Swarm I tested this build: 2 x BHs both with Recon Specialist Jendon + FCS Idea: 2 focus for BHs each turn. Jendon transfers TLs to BHs, so, by round 2 you have multiple attempts to get 3 hits off. Focus fire on large ship. In mid/late game, position BHs front/rear arcs to cover most of the board. you can lose a 28 point Jendon without too much consequence. Battle report: Friend ran Chiraneau +Expose + Ysanne + Rebel Captive + E.I. with Echo + tactician + FCS + VI + Adv. Cloaking Device Set up with 1 BH running straight down an edge. Jendon 2 spaces away from the other BH. Using the 2 focus, TL pass tactic, helped me get early heavy damage against Chiraneau. The sprays also were protected from echo's attacks b/c I'd usually have the extra focus to spend on an evade. The Lambda held its own with its big 5 shields. Eventually, the BHs bullied the decimator into asteroids, into bad positioning, and in range of both BH arcs and took more damage. By round 4 the 60 point Decimator was history. Also, any time the phantom was in the arc of a BH, I took some shots at it. Before time was up, the lambda was destroyed by a very slippery Echo, but the Firesprays were still on the board. My friend admits bad piloting on the decimator, but still the simplicity, synergy, and firepower of the BH/Jendon list has me pretty excited. We ran the list again against a crazy build: Jendon + FCS + Ion Cannon + Tac Jammer, Delta Sq. + Ion Pulse Missiles + Ion Cannon + Munitions Failsafe Scimitar Sq + Ion Trop + 2x Ion Pulse Miss + Munitions Failsafe The BHs/Jendon won handily. Still more testing but I like what I see! Any advice, questions, comments?
