stay on target - beast rider

Recommended Posts

Looking for some answers on the new beast riding rules.

First on page 81 under "the rest of the profile" it says "the beast keeps its wound and strain thresholds" however none of the mounts have a strain threshold listed. Am I right to assume we treat it like minions? Any stress delt to the mount is calculated into its wound threshold.

2nd. Is the mix of personal and planetary scale. If I read correctly the mounts.movement is treated just like vehicles(ie planetary scale) so a mount with a calculated speed of 2 can cover 50 kilometers in 2 movements? Seriously???

Yes but No, read the creatures profile. Like other npcs they come in minion, rival, and nemesis flavor. The creatures use strain based on their type like any other npc.

No, range band have no set distance. All speed 2 means is how fast it is compared to other things that can also move. So a tauntaun can keep pace with an AT-ST. How much physical distance is covered in a move is up to the gm.
