greasyspoon 0 Posted January 14, 2015 I searched the rules but could not find thsese explictly stated. 1. Can the Imperial Player open doors? 2. I know doors are removed (assume you can't close them) from play after openning, so could a Imperial player pass though them? 3. Do imperial players have the same action as rebel player? I know they attack twice but can they rest as well? or spend surges to heal?I am thing no on resting becuase they have no endurance but I am not sure on the spending surges to heal. Thanks

Thanks 1) In campaigns it'll depend on the mission specifications 2) A door opened/removed is 100% passable if the figure fits 3) Check "Rest" and/or "Heroes" in the RRG. But basically no. Only heroes may attack twice unless the Deployment card (not only limited to Imperial) says otherwise. So an E-Web may attack twice while a Stormtrooper may not. And it's only if the Deployment cards specifies it that you may remove a Damage for a Surge in Skirmish

Forensicus 883 Posted January 15, 2015 No one, except maybe ghosts, can pass through closed doors. Not yet(i) anyways
Budgernaut 6,255 Posted January 15, 2015 (edited) And Rebels can pass through doors in Under Siege. EDIT: But that's a mission-specific rule. Edited January 15, 2015 by Budgernaut 1 Forensicus reacted to this
Forensicus 883 Posted January 15, 2015 And Rebels can pass through doors in Under Siege. EDIT: But that's a mission-specific rule. Plus (even though it's not specified) it's more likely due to them (Rebels) controlling th doors rather than being able to pass through solid matter ;-) 1 Budgernaut reacted to this
Squid89 86 Posted January 15, 2015 Couldn't you effectively "pass through" a closed door if you were standing on a transporter pad? Oh wait, wrong Galaxy.
Koupo 4 Posted August 21, 2015 Hi, Sorry for be back with this subject but I have a question about doors. When mission specifications say "It's closed to rebel figurines, they have to make a test"... Does it mean that If a Imperial Figure open the door, it will disapear abd Rebels won't have to do the test ? We are in the imperial base oftenly, so is it normal that they desactivate system, instead of open it with an action, but closed automically ? Thank you
MikeNYHC 217 Posted August 21, 2015 If it doesn't say that doors are locked to Imperials then the Imperial player can use an action to open the door. That door would be removed completely from the map and could not be closed again unless a mission trigger allows it.
Fizz 986 Posted August 21, 2015 (edited) Which mission are you playing? That's the hook here. Each mission that has doors has specific rules that specify any changes to how doors behave. Remember that mission rules override rules in the RRG. Here's the simple on doors: If a door is opened, you remove it from the board. You cannot close an open door. Locked doors cannot be opened normally. The mission will state how to open them. Edited August 21, 2015 by Fizz
elshman 2 Posted November 1, 2015 I have a question...when you are trying to open a locked door, if the mission says that they have 5 damage points and 1 defense token, I'd like to know if the door will open automatically at the moment you resolve an attack and reach the 5 damage, or if after this moment you need to use an extra action of a hero to open the door. I tried to reach a conclussion reading the rules, the faq, the forum...I did not found an answer.. Thank you
Fizz 986 Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) The door is open as soon as it takes enough damage to remove it from the map: "Attacking Objects", RRG, Page 6: Mission rules specify how much Health the object has. Any (damage) it suffers is placed on or adjacent to the object. If an object suffers (damage) equal to or greater than its Health, it is destroyed and removed from the map. If the object is a door, it is considered to have opened. Edited November 2, 2015 by Fizz

Fizz 986 Posted November 5, 2015 I would highly suggest downloading FFG's PDF version of the RRG. Not only is it searchable, but the entire index (page numbers) and each "Related Topics" section are clickable links that bring to you quickly to the relevant sections of the book. I use this on my tablet instead of the actual book because it is so much faster to reference.Link here: https://images-cdn.fantasyflightgames.com/filer_public/ef/86/ef866943-534b-429e-b8db-7d99875431b7/imperial_assault_rules_reference_guide.pdf
