Broken Probe Droid - Need help

Recommended Posts

When I opened my copy of Imperial Assault, I saw that one of my my Probe Droids had broken off its base. Those legs are so tiny, I'm hesitant to just glue it back on without it looking like it has feet made of a gob of glue. Any ideas how to fix this?

Take photos, send them to FFG, they will send you a replacement.

Then glue as best you can, but don't worry if it's ugly as you'll get a new one.

I had one leg broken, and with a little bit of super glue, I can no longer tell which probe droid was the broken one.  But if all 3 are broken, that's probably a different story.

Cyanoacrylate (Superglue) works wonders and actually makes the legs more durable. I used "Loctite"-brand superglue and I will definitely recommend a "gel"-type instead of the runnier stuff. You will ned only a small dab of it.

The probe droid is prone to breaking due to the miniscule contact points to the base and rather flimsy legs.

Is it just me, or are those Imperial Probe Droid just *begging* to be put on transparent flight stands?

Aye! The main reason I chose not to use transparent stands for the minis from this game is that my young daughter likes to play it with me and I can't imagine them staying on the stands for long :/

I used a gel-based super glue along with Insta-Set accelerator. The gel is easier to work with and the accelerator causes the super glue to harden in less than a second. I repaired my broken droid and reinforced the others. Now they are all rock solid.
