tournament lists, help me decide

So, I have a tournament coming up and I'm not sure which list I want to fly.

 

I have a couple ideas that I want to use, but I keep wavering between them.

 

the first is Rebel and is:

 

Dash

   PTL

   HLC

   EU

 

Blue Squadron x2

   AS

 

I don't want to run the outrider title, I like to dogfight.  would there be better ships to add in place of the B's?

 

second is Imperial:

 

Omnicron GP

   Vader

 

Scimitar x4

   Prox mine

 

I love bombers and always have decent luck with them. I had contemplated dropping 2 ships for something higher PS with squad leader.  I had also thought to drop a scimitar for howlrunner.

 

 

 

any thoughts on either list?

I think the first will be more competitive, with the current meta I'd take Vi on dash n use the points for either a crew or initiative bid, the second sounds fun n even tho u have a gd number of ships n mines I donating it will be fast enough n the damage output will b a little low without howlrunner

Not convinced PTL+HLC Dash is a good dogfighter, if you're stressed you can't K-turn which means ships will rarely be in your main arc. Maybe drop PTL for Rec Spec, or if you want a harder hitting turret without the Outrider bubble, check out either Vrill in a stress list or a Falcon.

 

I think with the second list you'll have big trouble vs any kind of fast big ship list (Dash especially but any other YT or VT with EU as well). It's a one trick pony, personally I'd drop two of the Scim's for a Phantom, Defender or BH.

I've wanted to run dash without the title as well (at least until the Mangler cannon comes out) It seems like a solid list. You might consider adding nien num and using a gold with ion and the stress Droid and a blue with fcs. Gives a couple extra greens for dash and some more control.

I'm not a huge fan of PtL on ships that don't ave a ton of green.  I think Recon Spec or Marksmanship might be better expenditures of point.

 

Also if you are going to pay the 7 points for the HLC you just gotta take the title.  The EU make the 360 HLC really good.

But if you want the title then you want VI in your EPT slot so you can boost/barrel roll away from the range 1 ship.
