Laserbait 4 Posted March 29, 2015 (edited) Just posted the results of the Game HQ Store Championship held on 3/22/15 in Oklahoma City, OK into the X-wing List Juggler. Here are the top four and their builds: 1st Place - Casey Malone Omicron Group Pilot + Darth Vader Whisper + Gunner + Fire-Control System + Advanced Cloaking Device + Veteran InstinctsSoontir Fel + Push the Limit + Autothrusters 2nd Place - Tim Bunn Whisper + Gunner + Fire-Control System + Advanced Cloaking Device + Veteran Instincts Howlrunner + Swarm TacticsAcademy PilotAcademy PilotAcademy Pilot 3rd Place - Ryan Gainey Gold Squadron Pilot + BTL-A4 Y-Wing + R3-A2 + Ion Cannon TurretGold Squadron Pilot + BTL-A4 Y-Wing + Bomb Loadout + Ion Cannon Turret + Proximity MinesCorran Horn + R2-D2 + Advanced Sensors + Push the Limit + Engine Upgrade 4th Place - Trent Holt Ibtisam + Sensor Jammer + Push the Limit + C-3POWedge AntillesWes Janson + R3-A2 + Veteran Instincts The score of the final round is incorrect, it was very close between Casey and Tim. I was checking to see if the program added MoV from the final rounds (it doesn't) and didn't record the actual score. As I recall, there was one ship (Soontir Fel) left on the map at the end. Yes indeed, Bob and I faced each other twice and I drew George in the semis. I've been really close on a number of occasions with the TalaBand but yesterday they finally broke through. The Double Ochos gave the Zeds all they could handle, my son has a really good handle on how to fly them, can't wait to see how he does with them at the upcoming regionals. DagobahDave 1,621 Posted March 29, 2015 (edited) I don't have a full report, but here's what the top 4 looked like at the Borderlands Store Championship in Salem, Oregon on March 28: 17 players, 4 rounds of Swiss, cut to top 8. Quite a few Falcons in attendance, Phantoms were scarce. Top 4: Chewbacca and HLC Threepio Lone Wolf Leebo beats 3 Bounty Hunters. 4x Blue Squadron with Accuracy Correctors beats Autothrusters Soontir with Shield and Decimator. Final round: Chewbo beats Blue Squadron. I was running the B swarm and was stoked to go undefeated until the final -- by far my best performance at any event. In the final, Chewbacca was melted quickly, but Leebo was tough to catch and rolling hot offensively and defensively. My dice are cold even on a good day (hence Accuracy Correctors) and my best shots on Leebo (3 crits one time, 3 hits another) were totally canceled by clutch defense rolls. Lots of 3- and 4-hit Lone Wolfed HLC shots on my Bs took them down one by one. Leebo survived with 2 hull points remaining. Great match. Ashton Ruiz won an SC for the second year with a monster of a squad! Edited March 29, 2015 by DagobahDave 1 stmack reacted to this

stmack 467 Posted March 30, 2015 (edited) 2nd (me): Soontir Fel + Push The Limit + Targeting Computer + Royal Guard TIE + Autothrusters; Turr Phennir + Veteran Instincts + Hull Upgrade + Royal Guard TIE + Autothrusters; Omicron Group Pilot + Engine Upgrade + Rebel Captive + Advanced Sensors + Tactician + Flechette Cannon; That's a really interesting setup on the Omicron. How well did it work? I was pretty happy with it. There's something about the shuttle that just makes some people target it (looks like an easy kill I guess) so Rebel Captive is great. Throws a couple stress out and is a general nuisance the first 2-3 rounds and then it's out of the fight getting turned around but that happens faster than people expect with Adv Sensors + Engine, also let's it arc dodge a little bit or even get a shot turn 1 if you go 3 forward and then boost. Got a few smirks when people saw it in the list at 35 points but I think it held it's own. To be honest I hadn't played it before, was just something I tossed together when I decided I'd rather have more upgrades on my interceptors than just fitting in Fel+Turr+Doomshuttle+[16pt TIE]. So I loaded it up with what I thought would be a fun combo. Edited March 30, 2015 by stmack

Shuanfu 8 Posted March 30, 2015 (edited) Results from the Moxie Games championship in Columbus, GA can be found here. Wow Mux, Palob, Kavil FTW! And didnt lose a ship in the playoffs too! If you're saying that based off the scores that isn't entirely true. At elimination rounds we were just documenting the winners as the players had stopped turning in kill points because Cryodex doesn't use them to calculate standing anymore yet still requires points to be put in. So I just put it in as flat out wins to move things along more quickly (everyone was getting exhausted after a long day). Didn't matter for the results of the tournaments because winners still moved forward, but now that I see it's something people look at in the juggler I'll be sure to get it next time. Ominous Galactic Sunfish 26 Posted April 1, 2015 (edited) Since no one else has put them up, here are the results from Games of Berkeley Store Championship (that I won! with a HWK!). 4 rounds of Swiss and then a cut to top 8. 1st: Jake (VI, Chardaan, Outmaneuver, AT, Title) Jan (VI, IonT, EU) Tarn (R7) Bandit 2nd: Han (LW, C3PO, Gunner, MF, EU) Tycho (VI, PRockets, Title, AT, PtL) top 4: "Thugzapper" 2xBlack Sun Soldier (Feedback Array) 2xPirate (Feedback Array) 2xThug (Autoblaster Turret, Unhinged) top 4: Han (VI, C3PO, gunner, MF, EU) 3xTala remaining top 8: Chiraneau (VI, RC, Gunner, EU), Whisper (VI, FCS, ACD)IG88-BC (Pred, SJ, Mangler, Damp, AT, Title) Soontir (PtL, AT, SD, RGT), Vessery (FlechetteC, LW), OGP (Vader, Tactician) Han (Pred, C3PO, R2D2, MF, EU), Jake (Title, Chardaan, PtL, AT), Bandit The top game was interesting because it was untimed - against the other 2 Han lists (one in Swiss and one in the first round after the cut) I killed things and ran away, but this time I knew I had to take down Han first. I had Han close to a corner with 2 HP left and thought I knew he was going to turn left... and he turned right! Unfortunately for my opponent that move meant that Han flew off the board the next round, leaving Tycho up against all of my ships (or maybe my ships minus the Z, I'm having trouble remembering). Took a long time to pin him down (and the rockets did some serious damage to Tarn) - but I finally landed an ion shot with Jan. Some fancy flying got the ionized Tycho to run into Jan (he had given me initiative), leaving Tarn with a range 1 shot, target lock + focus + extra die from Jan, versus no tokens on Tycho. Since Tycho was at 2 HP death was assured when I got 5 hits, but a bad roll meant I would have finished him even at full health.
