Ehawther 2 Posted March 2, 2015 7th place: No idea the list, this was the guy who conceded his winning top 8 game. 8th place: Cam (?? swiss finished 8th overall, ?? MoV) Corran Horn w/PTL, Engine, AdvS, R2-D2 2x Tala 2x Bandit Thanks for putting this up, n3ctaris. 7th place was a double YT-1300 list, Chewie/Lando, as far as I saw, but I didn't see his full list. 8th place originally went to a brand new player, I had my first game against him in the swiss rounds, with Chiraneau, Expose, EI, Rebel Captive, Moff, Mara Jade, and Soontir Fel, PTL, Title, Stealth, and Targeting Computer. He had to drop due to illness.

PS10 162 Posted March 2, 2015 Venue: Gameforce, Einhoven, Netherlands Date: Feb 28, 2015 Attendance: 32 Round time: 75 minutes Format: 3 rounds of Swiss, cut to Top 4* Wave 6 not allowed.Top 4 lists. 1st place: Vincent with his YT-3700 duo. (Chewbacca, predator, C3PO crew, Millennium Falcon + Leebo, Lone Wolf, Outrider, Heavy Laser Cannon, Recon Specialist) 2nd place: Dominik with his heavy rebel swarm.(2x Blue Squadron Pilot, Heavy Laser Cannon + 2x Prototype Squadron Pilot, Chardaan Refit + Bandit Squadron Pilot) 3rd place: Paul with his Fat Han.(Han Solo, Push the limit, C3PO crew, Chewbacca Crew, Engine Upgrade Millennium Falcon + 3x Tala Squadron Pilot) 4th place: Michel with his Wisper/Howl swarm(Wisper, Veteran Instincts, Advanced Cloacking Device, Fire Control System, Gunner + Howlrunner + 3x Academy Pilot) Funny that there were too many decimators to count and none made it into the top 4. Also the top 4 were very close, the champion winning in the quarterfinals with just one hull-point on Leebo.* The amount of rounds were shortened due to the limited amount of time we could get in the store. A team battle was held for people not making the cut. High ranked players were paired to low ranked players. This was done nurture our growing group of new x-wing players in this region (about a 3rd of the players here), we wanted a nice experience for them instead of doing 5 rounds of grinding Swiss. The GameForce will organize the regionals 24-25 July and this will be full on competative, 2 day, premier event. CruzinToVictory 61 Posted March 3, 2015 Interesting Venue: Gameforce, Einhoven, Netherlands Date: Feb 28, 2015 Attendance: 32 Round time: 75 minutes Format: 3 rounds of Swiss, cut to Top 4* Wave 6 not allowed. Interesting. Seems like a fun event, but I was under the impression that store championships were required to run at least 4 rounds, and that FFG deemed Wave 6 allowed, which meant they had to be allowed. I guess the stores have more control than I thought, but either way looks like everyone had a good time! 1 heychadwick reacted to this

As much as it's nice to be able to say a tournament has to be however many rounds with a certain cut a lot of stores just can't fit that much in during normal hours or whatever amount of time they have allotted to run the tournament. In our most recent one locally we did one less round of swiss but doubled the amount of people who made the cut because we were asked to free up a few tables, none of the participants had much of an issue with it which is the main thing. ps: think I'm all updated from the weekend now Edited March 3, 2015 by stmack

Yes, and the rules state stores outside the USA can make exceptions to which wave is legal due to shipping time and availability on release. (if S&V was allowed 2 guys would have been able to use it in the whole tournament because their store has a different distributor.) Time issues in the store are the biggest problem indeed. Simonsays3 157 Posted March 3, 2015 Mayhem in Des Moines yesterday: I am doing this by memory, so there are some gaps and a couple details might be incorrect. If somebody can fill in the details please help. 18 players. Top Table: Winner, KineticOperator "The 87" - Aaron Bonar (KineticOperator) - Whisper (Vet Inst, ACD, Gunner, Fire Control Systems) - Echo (Push the Limit, ACD, Rec Spec, Adv Sensors) "Heaver's Han" - Victor Robles - Han Solo (Predator, Mill Falcon, C3P0, R2D2, Engine Upgrade) - 3 x Tala Squadron Top 4: "The 87" - Leighton Eash. Defeated by Kinetic in the mirror - Whisper (Vet Inst, ACD, Gunner, Fire Control Systems) - Echo (Push the Limit, ACD, Rec Spec, Adv Sensors) "7 TIE Swarm" - Doug Kinney. Defeated by Victor Roble "Heaver's Han" - Howlrunner - Backstabber - Black Squadron (Draw their Fire) - 3 x Obsidian - Academy TIE Top 8: Rebel Swarm - LegionThree. Defeated by Leighton Eash "The 87" - Tarn Mison (R7) - Rookie (R3A2) - 4 x Tala Squadron Whisper/Oicunn - Clarence. Defeated by Aaron Bonar "The 87" - Whisper (VI, ACD) - Oicunn (Determination, Moff Jerr, Rec Spec) - Academy TIE I don't know the other 2 in the top 8. Interesting notes, "The 87" lost 3 games all day, twice to itself (Leighton beat Aaron in Swiss, Aaron beat Leighton in the Top 4), and once to "Heaver's Han" in swiss (Victor beat Leighton). "Heaver's Han" lost only one game, to "The 87" in the final. LegionThree's Rebel Swarm continued its second (third?) consecutive tournament with an unbeaten record against all lists except "The 86/87", which is has not been able to best despite some serious flying skills. Troy, CommanderScrappy, brought "The 87" to within 1 hull point of losing with an Oicunn, Carnor Jax, Royal Guard list, Carnor Jax loves to make those Green dice worthless by denying focus tokens. I don't have the breakdown for the other guy, but I was up against Hothie first round in the top 8 with: Carnor's Cavalry - Caleb Bailey, defeated by Doug Kinney "7 Tie Swarm" - Carnor Jax (Push the Limit) - Bounty Hunter (Seismic Charge) - Bounty Hunter (Seismic Charge) Interesting notes, despite building a list with "The 87" in mind, I never actually ran against a Phantom for the duration of the tournament. Carnor Jax tangos with Phantom's quite well but the sheer volume of pancakes seems to be scaring them off and range one of a Falcon is NOT where Carnor wants to be....Though using him as a successful blocker against Fat Han was definitely a highlight of tournament and I'm curious if "Three Amigos" style interceptor list might be able give turrets a real run for their money with autothrusters allowed. Also, since someone had asked me about it elsewhere, here's the results from the 2/28/15 Card Kingdom (Seattle, WA) and 3/1/15 Around the Table Game Pub (Lynnwood, WA) store championships. A lot of this is directly copy-pasted from Jo Jo's thread in the Organized Play forum. If anyone has the build for the Whisper/Soontir list from Card Kingdom, please correct me on it. Card Kingdom (33 players): # 1 Echo w/ VI, ACD, rec spec, FCS Chiraneau w/ PtL, Vader, Ysanne Isard, Engine Upgrade # 2 Etahn w/ PtL, Adv Sensors, R2-D2 Blue B 3x Bandits Top 4 (lost to #2) Wedge w/ Swarm Tactics, Hull Upgrade Tarn Mison w/ R7 astromech Roark w/ Blaster Turret, Rec Spec, Moldy Crow Bandit (Double X-wings and an HWK in the Top 4? Its like the guy who flew this has never even read the official forums) Top 4 (lost to #1) Chewbacca with C3P0, PTL, Kyle, Falcon Leebo with Mangler, Outrider, Lone Wolf, Recon Specialist Top 8 Backstabber 4 Academy Pilots 2 Scimitar Squadron Pilots with Seismic Charge (Lost to #2 on a draw) Dash with Push the Limit, Engine Upgrade, Kyle Katarn, Outrider and HLC Keyan with Push the Limit, Adv. It lost to #1. Around the Table (26 players): Top seed after swiss ran a Howl (Det, HU) Swarm with 2 BSP w/ DTF, and 4 Academies. He backed out after Swiss, as he had won the Card Kingdom championship the night before. I believe Blairbunke also dropped out of playing for Top 4, but did not catch what he was running or what his final position was after Swiss. #1 Krassis with Rebel Captive 2 Royal Guard Pilots with Push The Limit and Autothrusters #2 Oicunn with Determination, Dauntless, Anti-Pursuit Lasers, Rebel Captive and Saboteur (SABOTEUR MADE A FINAL TABLE) Fel with Push the Limit, Hull Upgrade, Stealth Device Academy Pilot Top 4: (Lost to #1) Dash Rendar with Outrider, Heavy Laser Cannon, Push the LImit and Nien Numb Corran Horn with Marksmanship, R2-D2, Experimental Interface, Fire-Control System Top 4: (Lost to #2) 3 Blues with E2/B-Wing and Tactician Gold Squadron Pilot with Ion Turret and R3-A2 1 stmack reacted to this

kryzak 215 Posted March 4, 2015 (edited) OAKLAND ENDGAME (SF Bay Area) STORE CHAMPIONSHIPS - Tourney 5 of 8 - 2/28/2015 - Up to Wave 5 65 min rounds, 22 players The top 8 had 3 Phantom/Decimator lists and 3 Chewbo YT3700 lists, yet somehow the final was played between a TarnNation list and Boba/Whisper list, no turrets. Final had to be played on a separate day due to the store closing (even with 65 min rounds and no delays, we couldn't finish 4 swiss and top 8). It was an epic battle between 7 ships vs 2 that lasted 2.5 hours. A Bandit got popped early in the first round of shooting, but then the "hero of the rebellion" (Bandit #4?) just wouldn't die after 2-3 rounds of both Whisper and Boba firing on him, allowing the swarm to take all shields off Boba/Whisper. Then some crazy daring escape of Whisper, followed by a few R1 shots popped all but Tarn and 2 Bandits. Then disaster strikes as Tarn rolls a natural 3 hit 1 crit on Whisper, Whisper evades 3 of them, and the crit turns out to be a Direct Hit! Now it's Boba vs 3 ships. Boba is as slick as usual, dodging between asteroid fields and trapping the 2 Bandits, though losing 3 hull in the process. Finally, the "impossible to hit" Tarn vs a 3 hull Boba. After a few rounds (where I really wished I brought a turret instead ) of maneuvering and pot shots, Tarn scores the killer blow with 3 hull left. That was probably as classic and fun of a dogfighting/arc dodging game I've ever played. Congrats to Chris for a great win, being such a great sport, and providing an awesome game!
