tannerface 0 Posted June 17, 2009 I am seeing a legacy deckbuilding trend. I was just wondering if people are starting to find legacy more fun to play in than standard?
Scott Gaines 0 Posted June 17, 2009 If you have the cards, imo it's more fun. I think ffg should support this "jank" called legacy more HEHE. tanner i built a legacy alba i might post it up. halp me. i was thinking only running lck, but spiral arrow might be too sexy to pass up. lol. also on the first 2 pages of deck building there are 9 legacy topics. Wafflecopter2 0 Posted June 17, 2009 It's your fault Scott, your Ukyo and Ibuki got everyone thinking about it and now it's a avalanche of jank

Many casual players (people who tend to use this area more then the top tournament players) play legacy, because that's what they own. File under "?!" My players have requested that the legacy event for July be a "No Block" event. Meaning no cards with blocks outside of the starting character It should be ugly. trane2 0 Posted June 17, 2009 the reason i have decided to start playing legacy is because i just realized i lacked the cash to make nats or worlds. i will probably play legacy till block four rotation.

Cripes... and absurd strength has a block on it, so you don't have to worry about it. Yeah... this is going to be retarded.
Wafflecopter2 0 Posted June 17, 2009 You could do Tiger Uppercut Sagat with One-Armed Maneuvers, Professional Soldier, and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting for +momentums
Duckman2 0 Posted June 19, 2009 Yun-Seong, Fu-Ma Training, B. Luck into Shadow Banishment, BoP. Works even when your opponent has a Block.

That's because legacy is the superior format Tanner You don't have to play Chun Li all day and every symbol can win just certain ones have dumber cards

Well you can do three things to really make a big impact in a major tournament... Play Chun Li or switch to her, Play Knight breaker, or play order lock, sure other decks will once in awhile do well but they aren't as consistant In legacy the format is so crazy when you sit down to play certain characters such as Ukyo you can't just say oh yeah this is an evil blah blah blah deck (Just as an example) Also you can actually build a legacy deck on a budget (even back in the day you could build a cheap life deck and be effective also fire and a few other symbols were not that expensive to play as a new player) The other problem is that characters are rotating too fast there are barely any good characters you can play
trane2 0 Posted June 21, 2009 Grizzlegrom said: The other problem is that characters are rotating too fast there are barely any good characters you can play true. the only chars from standard that will see play in legacy are chunners, akuma, olexa, herr, and donovan. maybe ivey. legacy chars are way better and more fun.
