jonherring87 0 Posted December 18, 2014 I love this game but the group of guys that play board/card games with every week never want to play because it takes so long. They always say, we need to plot out a Saturday and play that game but we never do. I don't see why it should be a problem but would it make sense to change the end of game round from 10 to a lower number just to make the game not as long? What would a good End Game Round Number be to accommodate for a 2-3 hour game instead of 4-6 hours. I'm thinking 7 rounds. Seven Kingdoms, Seven gods and Seven Victory points wins the game so maybe playing up to Seven rounds would work. Any ideas?
The Professor 216 Posted December 18, 2014 (edited) Jonherring87, I guess I'm curious as to why your games are taking so long...I host a monthly AGoT Night with food and drink, and a 5-player game is concluded in 4 hours, including festivities. jonherring87 0 Posted December 19, 2014 haha yeah I guess we have at least one guy in our group that takes forever to make decisions. Of course he usually wins...
jonherring87 0 Posted December 19, 2014 Plus, I just realized that we were playing slightly incorrectly. We thought that during consolidate power step, if you controlled a spot on the board that had a printed CROWN icon that you received one power token. I realize now that is incorrect. That made it so that people received more power than needed and may have altered some things.

jonherring87 0 Posted December 22, 2014 haha thanks! I was thinking 5 minutes per Planning Phase should be sufficient
