how can i a PC die? or at least to break a couple of bones?

Recommended Posts

so i just wanted to know how can a PC Die or get extremly injured

Roll over 130 on the critical chart.  To get there you need prior crits (each one adds +10 to a new crit roll), the Vicious quality on your weapon, and Talents like Lethal Blows.

It's hard to kill PCs in this game, which is good IMHO.  I always hated the death clock in D&D, it seems rather pointless if you're trying to create an epic story.

In the Beginner Game, IIRC, death should come after the fifth (?) critical injury. Take a gander through the rulebook, where it mentions critical injuries.

In the Edge of the Empire Core Rulebook, there is a chart that determines the effect of the critical injury, instead of the more simplified version in the a Beginner Game. But either way, PCs die from lots of critical injuries.

Also: drop them off 100-foot cliffs, chop off their heads with lightsabers, hold them under water for 20 minutes without a rebreather, step on them with an AT-AT, blast them with a turbolaser. Throw them out of an airlock into the vacuum of space. Keep them away from food & water for a whole week.

Subject them to a poetry reading featuring EV-99, the galaxy's most boring droid.

The Robot (ahem, 'droid') Revolution arrived in our game this week.  The artificial ingrates started demanding wages, comfortable rooms, leisure time, and holonet access.  And two even wanted to get married (um, 'pursue a joined commitment of lifelong companionship').

The Alliance (who had intended to fob them off with some medals and speeches) swallowed their pride and took the massive hit to their expense account and productivity.  The Empire, um, didn't take it so well.  On the plus side, a lot of newly-emancipated droids are now joining the Alliance or the crime syndicates...
