Kanan 8 Posted November 23, 2014 Forgive me if this has already been answered but I could not find a resolution using the search function. So today in a game I used inside job to make a run on HQ. My opponent had two unrezzed pieces of ice in front of the HQ server. The outermost piece of the two ice was an unrezzed guard. When I used the inside job the corp player rezzed guard and stopped me there. Is this a legal move or should the inside job have bypassed the guard ice since it was unrezzed when I approched it? CommissarFeesh 458 Posted November 23, 2014 You only encounter REZZED Ice. Inside Job bypasses the first piece of Ice ENCOUNTERED. When he rezzed Guard, he forced you to encounter it, thus nullifying Inside Job (which is pretty much what Guard is designed for). This move was perfectly legal. As an interesting side note, had the guard remained unrezzed, because you would not have encountered it, you would have bypassed the first piece of rezzed Ice instead. Inside Job doesn't only work on the outermost Ice, it works on the outermost REZZED Ice. 3 Devon Greatwolf, Kanan and Smiticus reacted to this
