Build your Force user #1: Starter Character

Recommended Posts

In the vein of Aways YBtC threads I thought it would be interesting to create a thread showing off Force user characters built by the community to get an appreciation of what can be done.

So here is a thread for it, if it interests anyone. I figured we could do this on multiple levels with the first being starter characters and then later ones using more xp like "knight" level.

So a couple of things to keep in mind:

  • These are characters created from any FFG book.
  • All characters must use the morality system and must be a Force user of some sort, but you may use careers and specs from any books in combination if you so choose.

Nice! Question: are these meant to be "established" characters (as in from the Star Wars canon/Legends) or just any old PC we like to create? Cuz...ideas, so many ideas.

People buy things that aren't characteristics at character creation? I don't understand.

In the first game I GM'd, my players failed to listen to me and only increased one characteristic each (one player actually didn't increase any at all). That was...a rough go.

I have Talents: Street Smarts(5) and Reflect(5)

Force Power: Sense.

My first XP gain will be directed into Shien Technique I just like the idea of heaps of reflect. I will also try and get some armour that has a range defence to it just to introduce some chances for adding setback dice to my opponents rolls.

Looking forwards this will be a very slow character to improve, but I am thinking that will be far more fun.

Had an idea for a character somewhat similar. A former stormtrooper left for dead that becomes a merc. The original idea was a Hired Gun/Bodyguard/ FSEx. He was Force sensitive and probably would have been tapped to become a shadow guard if not for the "left for dead". I adjusted him somewhat using the career/spec from F&D and added a shield a la Kilian Rangers. He would be a tank. I would also eventually take either Gadgeteer or Artisan for adapting his shield to a power shield gauntlet and his firearm to a siang lance and take Sense and Enhance powers. Not that I'll ever get to play as a player, but it is nice to dream.
