Shkar 51 Posted November 5, 2014 Torquemada is Warlord number 12. 7 from the core, and one for each warpack, that gives us 12 warlords. Still 1 warpack to announce and yet 2 remaining factions without anounced warlord (Eldars and Dark Eldars). Will we get both warlords in the 6th warpack?, will we get a double warlord personality? That most likely has a lot more to do with the source for that art, which is based off of Codex covers from the 40k miniatures game. The relevant DE Codex was released fairly close to the announcement for the sleeves, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if the DE just get delayed sleeves to accommodate that. This is more likely due to the fact that all of the FFG Conquest card protectors are literally the cover art from the respective race's new 6th and 7th Edition codexes. The Dark Eldar didn't get a new codex from GW until literally about a week before the sleeves announcement was made. Whether or not FFG will decide that at this point it is worth it to do a run of sleeves just for Dark Eldar on their own I could not say, but even if they were I'd not expect it to be ready for some time. It was physically impossible for FFG to have sleeves ready with art for DE that matched the overall theme they went with (Codex cover art), given how close GW was cutting it with the new Dark Eldar releases coinciding so closely with Conquest's launch. Let me quote you from their preview of the Howl of Blackmane, and thus the Warlord cycle, Throughout the War Packs of the Warlord cycle, every faction receives a new warlord, ranging from an Imperial Inquisitor to an Eldar Phoenix Lord, and each of these new champions encourages the exploration of a new style of play. As said, the 6th and final Warlord pack was spoiled by a Spanish website (sadly they have since taken down the slip, but it can be verified by other people on cardgamedb that saw it before it was taken down) to be named Descendants of Isha, and featured Dark Eldar-flavored art. Descendants of Isha refers to both types of Eldar. Given these two factoids of information, as previously stated, perhaps we can cease unwarranted fearmongering on whether or not Dark Eldar will get a new Warlord (I would have preferred an Archon of some kind, but the art for Descendants of Isha makes me suspect Urien Rakarth). EDIT: Curses, looks like somebody else beat me to pointing out the reason for DE's lack of representation on the art sleeves.
