Pogie 113 Posted November 4, 2014 My X-Wing league just wrapped up and is switching formats for the next session. It will consist of 3 100 pt games per session for 4-5 sessions. You must play the same list for each game of an individual session. Once a unique pilot is killed, you may continue to use him for subsequent games that night but is not available for subsequent sessions. You must play the same faction throughout. My first instinct would be to play generic low PS pilots at first and let some of the better pilots get weeded out and then bring in higher PS builds but I am new to the game and would welcome some advice. chilligan 1,302 Posted November 4, 2014 It seems to me that it's not that big of a deal, if you are up to playing different archetypes with just 1-2 uniques. Lose Howlrunner? No more swarm next week... (unless you want to field 8 academies). There are a ton of unique pilots, and even if some are irreplaceable in some list archetypes, you only have 5 sessions, so you can't lose *that* many. DraconPyrothayan 6,107 Posted November 4, 2014 Alternatively, you can go with an Assassination plot.Focus the uniques down, to make your opponents hate you as the games go longer.Force them into playing more defensively, and you'll have succeeded in breaking their spirits 1 YwingAce reacted to this
