Phaedros 22 Posted October 28, 2014 (edited) Just a small knit-pick, my Talassarian* Tempest Blade seems to have acquired an extra "l" -.- Besides that, everything else seems to be spelt correctly, though Eager Recruit doesn't make any sense fluff-wise, SM Chapters have no Recruits, they have Aspirants (pre-Op) and Neophytes (post-Op/Scout), followed by Initiates (full Marine / aka Brother.) If anyone else comes across a mispelling or such feel free to post, let's keep things consistent. Also, Istvaan is Istvaan, like Kayvaan Shrike, I hate FW being dumb and changing it to Isstvan... but that's another battle for another day. Narcissistic Cannibal 25 Posted October 28, 2014 I see great irony in this post. 1 Toqtamish reacted to this
Robin Graves 6,054 Posted October 28, 2014 Also, Istvaan is Istvaan, like Kayvaan Shrike, I hate FW being dumb and changing it to Isstvan... but that's another battle for another day. "Battle"? You mean "drop site massacre". And I checked the "Horus Heresy- collected visions", and "Horus Heresy book 1- betrayal" both GW sourcebooks and they definately call it Isstvan. That's the downside of relying on wiki's for your info. (Lexicanum has both Istvaan and isstvan)

I don't have my old rulebooks (3rd/4th) to cite from anymore unfortunately. -.-And I missed the irony. Edit: Did some research and during the dark days of 3rd/4th Isstvan was changed to Istvaan in at least 3rd, and maybe 4th Ed. CSM which I would read and re-read, but Slaves to Darkness and Space Marine from '89 has it as Isstvan. -.- Edited October 28, 2014 by Phaedros
Robin Graves 6,054 Posted October 28, 2014 (edited) I checked 2nd and 5th edition: both have it as "Istvaan". But you are correct: Both Realm of chaos:StD and Space Marine have it as "Isstvan." I guess GW went back to the old spelling? Isstvan/ Istvaan: So much for consistency, even in GW books. Well it is Chaos after all. Titan 92 Posted October 28, 2014 (edited) I always remembered it as Istvaan. But I just looked through a few of the HH books and every mention I saw has it as Isstvan. Edited October 28, 2014 by Titan

Phaedros 22 Posted October 29, 2014 Oh, guess I did, I don't use autocorrect or spellcheck, and I posted this at nearly 1AM my time after a long day of work, so yeah, none of us are infallible. -.-

That's the irony.
Ersatz Nihilist 172 Posted October 29, 2014 It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a Talassarian Tempest Blade. 1 kiwidru reacted to this
Robin Graves 6,054 Posted October 29, 2014 Nice. I have a tendency to say Tallahasian Tempest Blade.
