Need a pointer to rules on deciding pairings and tie-breaking at my first CoCLCG tournament tomorrow night

Recommended Posts

Hi, fellow enthusiasts, I may just be dense, but I can't find the page which used to exist on the old server giving official ways to do pairings and tiebreaking at card game tournaments.

Could someone please give me a pointer?

If, perchance, the CoCLCG-specific page no longer is available, then maybe I could be directed to a general page for running such tournaments?

I am aware of the 'Adventure League' instruction pdf, but that is NOT what I seek.

Thanks in advance if you can help.

Chick

I hope the info on Swiss solved your problem?

If you use swiss, in the case of a tie, go back on the matchups, and count the total points of all the opponents one has played. This means that in case of a tie, the player that faced the stronger opponents gains the edge. Or you could solve this by doing a few rounds of Single Elimination style pairings. This is more time consuming, though.
