DagobahDave 1,621 Posted October 10, 2014 (edited) Say I've got a pretty typical Fat Han list. What's the plan for deploying the weaker ships? Does Han hang back while they fly ahead and try to block enemy ships? Should they be used as close escorts for Han, or form their own unit as flankers? Blail Blerg 7,335 Posted October 10, 2014 Good question. I want to know so i can beat it. How do you deal with stress, like from Rebel Captive? Do you ever intentionally bump Han if the opponent has less ships? btw, DagobahDave, you either have 98 pt, init bid, or you're missing two points. Since there's no real reason to bid for PS11, i think you should spend the last two points on upgrading to Talas.

Marinealver 8,068 Posted October 10, 2014 (edited) When flying Fat Han (aka super falcon) you use the strengths to compensate for the weakness. So you would fly it defensively instead of aggressively. For the amount of points you spend on the Falcon you only get 3 firepower, sure you can use things like gunner to ensure you get those hits but mainly you want to be on the defensive with the title and 3PO giving you the ability to cancel 2 or more hits a turn. So that means staying out of firing arcs. If there is only the arc of one ship even if it is 3 firepower then no problem you can cancel 2 hits from that one ship. If you are in 2 ships' arcs that have 2 firepower now you got a big problem. Not knowing when to use the 3PO or not. You end up burning your defenses for that turn and start taking the damage. R5Don4 192 Posted October 11, 2014 He is best when in a position where he can shoot and be shot at back by a minimum of ships. This usually means using the best of the 360 degree arc and Engine Upgrade. Another not often talked about tactic I've seen used that is extremely effective, not just with that build but any turret build, where Han gets behind and rams in, disallowing shots on him by the touching ship. It can be very effective.
