Kroepian 6 Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) Hi folks, a friend of mine and me did another version of the Painted Table, we'd like to share with you. Since it is so much fun playing on this board, we wanted to document the whole building process. We even made a homepage for it http://level-up-boardgame.com/?p=55 The project took us quite some time (to be completely honest: about 15 months of unregular work) and a lot of money, but the game feels incredily great when tranformed to "a higher level. Totally worth every Euro and every hour! We are very happy about the final result (of course, there are always some minor changes, one could do) and we are looking forward to start new projects (hence the name of the wesite)! We made a small documentation for the table. The Professor 216 Posted October 6, 2014 Absolutely tremendous work, gentlemen! I host "A Game of Thrones" night once a month and I'll be sure to show all of the players this labor of love. Cheers, Joe

Borealian 81 Posted January 13, 2015 Awesome and inspiring! Except for the 15 months part. That is just daunting. Well done! Personally, I am a bit ambivalent to the best design: should the board have a 3D aspect or remain perfectly flat? A 3D board like yours or any of the others I have seen, just gives a fantastic impression. It just looks much nicer! On the other hand, a flat board, particularly when it is as large as yours, gives you the opportunity to move units with one of these. Don't tell me you didn't at least think about it! HouseJasonBourne 1 Posted January 30, 2015 Can I play a game on that?

HouseJasonBourne 1 Posted May 12, 2015 How or Where could i get the correct or close to accurate topography of the board?
Borealian 81 Posted May 13, 2015 There are pretty good maps in "A World of Ice and Fire" from which you can guess approximate heights. I don't think there are any surveyor's maps to be found, not even on the Internet
