Nyxen 1,605 Posted October 1, 2014 So I was looking through my Rebel Aces Pack, and this just hit me Keyan Farlander (36 total) -E2 mod -Kyle Katarn -PTL Ibtisam (34 Total) -E2 mod -Jan Ors -PTL Dagger Squadron Pilot (30 total) -E2 mod -Lando Calrissian -FCS The idea being B-wings with evade tokens everywhere while still dishing out a respectable amount of damage. iPeregrine 685 Posted October 1, 2014 Flip Jan and Kyle. Farlander gets near-zero benefit from Kyle because he's already getting offensive focus and defensive focus doesn't add much. Ibtisam, on the other hand, doesn't have focus already so Kyle's ability is relevant. (Apparently FFG has ruled that Jan's ability works on the ship she's on, if your intent in ship choice was to give Farlander the evade token from Jan.) Ziusdra 285 Posted October 1, 2014 When I saw the thread title "backseat drivers", I thought this thread would be referring to the people who (at tournaments like Assault at Imdaar or Regionals) stand behind you and say to each other, "Oooh, I wouldn't have done that, I would have gone left." or "The only way out of this situation is to do X" or "I wouldn't have left X ship vulnerable here". It drives me nuts when people do this. I don't need my opponent thinking about the things those spectators are pointing out--after playing for 40+ minutes against my opponent, I can tell what he is and isn't aware of, and I don't need commentary that provides extra tactical analysis for him. Haha, but that's off topic. I really like this list. There's no clear target (maybe Ibitsam, maybe Keyan?) and the variety of Focus and Evade tokens going around really helps the action economy and survivability of your high priority targets. This is just brilliant. Keyan needs no Focus tokens (since his stress will allow him to Focus his attack), so give him the Evades he needs to survive. Then, Ibitsam can have re-rolls and a Focus and an Evade. And your Dagger can have any number of Focuses or Evades, plus target locks. The biggest weakness is (obviously) shedding the stress off of Ibitsam (or potentially Keyan if Keyan doesn't get to attack, his stress stays on him until the next round). The B-Wing maneuver dial isn't friendly toward shedding stress while keeping enemies lined up in your sights. I can't really see a good fix for this though, other than good asteroid placement and good maneuvering.
Nyxen 1,605 Posted October 1, 2014 Ah I forgot that Jan was a once per round, oops. In that case I've got some tweaking to do but that was the intention, Kyle giving Farlander evade tokens.
