I've been trying to brew up some thematic lists that would be fun to play and here's my first:

OGP (21)

Darth Vader (3)

Royal Guard Pilot (22)

Predator (3)

x3

Total: 99

The question I have is do I take Predator or PtL on the RGPs?

I ran exactly that at the last regional.  It's a decent list.

 

It's PtL hands-down, though.  Against non-turret lists, combining boost and barrel roll is your bread and butter.  Against turret lists, stacking tokens is your only hope.  Either way, you need PtL.

Maybe an intelligence agent on the shuttle? It might help to gain an positioning advantage in the early mid-game.

 

And ptl is usually better on a unit that has a way to clear stress easy and has an additional movement option. Its always better on a ship with 2 movement options IMO. (A-wings&Interceptors)

Don't care about initiative?

Are you a loyal servant of the Empire?

Do you enjoy crushing terrorist rebel scum?

 

Then further confound your enemy and add a Tac Jammer to the OGP for the last point.

Then fly the two PTL Royal Guards slightly behind it.

 

(The Shuttle has to fly fast though, but 1 point for 2x +1 Agility is wicked).
