gambit1977 69 Posted September 14, 2014 1 Does it matter for Kath Scarlets ability how the crit is cancled shiekd evade ect. 2 For Recon Specialest it has to be an action you take not one pased to you right
Forgottenlore 9,838 Posted September 14, 2014 It doesn't matter how the crit is cancelled, as long as the target is what is actually canceling it. If a game effect, such as the attack being an ion cannon, cancels the kaboom result then it doesn't trigger. Also, shields do not cancel die results, they absorb damage. Things with little wavey line icons and things that specifically say they do, cancel attack die results. Recon specialist triggers on the ship it is on performing the focus action. Tokens are not actions. If an effect passes the ship a focus token, RS will not trigger, if an effect allows the ship to perform a free focus action (and the ship does so) then RS will trigger. StevenO 2,996 Posted September 14, 2014 All Forgottenlore said. 1. Cancelled yes but there are other things that negate them which would not trigger it like that Shield Token. 2. The ship with the Recon Specialist must perform the Focus action to get the extra Focus token. Keep in mind that a ship can only use a given action once per round. OuterRimJob 38 Posted September 14, 2014 2. The ship with the Recon Specialist must perform the Focus action to get the extra Focus token. Keep in mind that a ship can only use a given action once per round. You probably should have written... '"perform" a given action once...etc.'; so as to not confuse the natives. Or I could just change the first "perform" to "use" to make sure the same term was used in both sentences. I guess I don't think about "performing" actions but rather "using" actions. 1 OuterRimJob reacted to this
