Doom + Starcraft = Something good

I've thought about doing exactly this.  Haven't found the time to do it yet.  I would be very interested in seeing what other people come up with, so please share your ideas if you have any!

I had the same idea some time ago, but never realized it. However, I compared the speed of different units in the game, and made a list of approximate speed values, which I didn't find anywhere else:

11, 8 Vulture (Ion Thrusters)
10, 8 Zergling (Metabolic Boost)
9, 7 Ultralisk (Anabolic Synthesis/Expansion)
8, 6 Wraith, Scourge, Mutalisk, Queen, Shuttle (Gravitic Drive), Scout (Gravitic Thrusters)
7.5, 6 Vulture
7, 5 Infested Terran, Zealot (Leg Enhancements), Marine/Firebat (Stimpack)
6.5, 5 Zergling, Dropship, [broodling], Hydralisk (Muscular Augments)
6, 5 Ultralisk, Arbiter, Scout, Archon, Dragoon, Science Vessel, Drone, WBF, Probe, [Observer (Gravitic Booster)]
5.5, 4 Goliath, Shuttle
5, 4 Space Marine, Firebat, Ghost, Siege Tank, Zealot, Defiler
4.5, 3 Hydralisk
4, 3 High Templar, Carrier, [Observer], Overlord (Pneumatized Carapace)
3, 2 Guardian, Battle Cruiser
2, 2 Reaver
1, 1 Overlord

The first value is the value I measured, the second one is scaled down and rounded so that infantry units (marines etc.) have 4 movement points (5 with Stimpacks). Note that some units (e.g. Dropships) accelerate more slowly than others, which isn't included in these speed values. Furthermore, I didn't measure values for Broodwar units, yet. I'm thinking about adding 'bases' for each team, and the frag tokens (from expansion) works as resources.  Each model costs different resources to train each turn.

 

What we need to do is determine the stats (including the dice used to fight) for each model (would be simpler if we focus on the troops available in Starcraft the Boardgame no expansion)
