King of the Saltwives 0 Posted May 30, 2009 After an an extended absence from the game, the KFM is back in force! Over the past month or so, we've been boosting our cardpools with installments of the LCG, with both the chapter packs and the core set, organizing support from a local comic shop (who has been amazingly supportive of us getting the meta back into gear), recruiting our members both new and old, and shrugging off the rust of being out of the game. Despite the lack of Greyjoy( I'm wagging my fist at FFG until July haha), everyone around these parts are pretty enamored with the new cards, etc etc. With in the next two weeks we hope to have a consistent day of play like we used to at the new shop, so things will be getting back to normal. I think I speak for everyone when I say we missed the game, but just as much if not more, the community, and all of you great guys and gals. Let the Invasion Begin!!!!! Staton 1 Posted May 30, 2009 Awesome! This, coupled with the amazing turnout for Ktom's this past weekend, is the best news this community could've had! I think the community is finally coming back together, and your guys' timing is just about perfect! And once the GJ expansion comes out, I really think they will be the top house in standard(ITE and up) and right up there in the LCG. Wintertime Marauders is crazy good! Also, yeah, this did come as a surprise! I was thinking you guys weren't gonna get back into the game! Well, show's what I know! So what is your favorite card from the chapter packs? Alanys is a dirty *****! at least if you aren't playing her. I am really wanting some more bara winter stuff. and hopefully, its asshai! What I wouldn't do for Bearer of the Light and Glory of R'hllor back! Matt, I have been looking over the lcg cards for ideas for bara decks. The result? I've got nothing. I think you would need to use at least cards from 5ke to make a cohesive bara deck, and there are even some cards from the ite block that I'd want to use. Hallowed Ground for example. It's kind of hard to refuse haha. I was disappointed at the lack of GJ avs, but i got over it, i do have a special place in my heart for those crazy Bara's. Hopefully someone will add some F'n Grejoy av's after the expansion comes out. And it would be amazing if you could swing by here around Origins, we should have things good by then. You know what card I want to come back for Bara? None. They can all die. I would take King Balon's Command back though. Even though that will never happen. King of the Saltwives 0 Posted June 1, 2009 I was happy with the GJ stuff overall. I was more jealous of some of the other things, whether i should be or not lol. Wharf Rats looks to be fun. Not a game breaker, but annoying enough to be attractive. Kraken Tattoo (i think thats its name) is good as well, should make salt wife easier to run, seeing as how I'm completely smitten with that card.
