SpikeSpiegel 2,077 Posted September 3, 2014 Always be sure to have a healthy supplement of vegetables when you have your evening meals! I brainstormed up a post-aces list that utilizes Corran and the high agility and non-unique Green Squadron EPTs pilots for a high-speed, run and gun list: Corran Horn (35) Veteran Instincts (1) Fire Control System (2) R7 Astromech (2) Green Squadron Pilot (19) Predator (3) Chardaan Refit (-2) x3 I typically run a Han Super Falcon in place of the Green Squadron pilots, but maybe having three highly agile bodies capable of blocking will shed some light on Corran so he can go for the kills. Predator on the A-Wings should make them a little more reliable for hitting their targets and I feel like the FCS+R7 combo offers more synergy and effectiveness with Corran rather than R2-D2. The biggest problems I see with the list is survivability and pilot skill. Three PS3 A-Wings will probably be gunned down quickly and with both ships having only 2 Hull, they all have a good chance of being toasted by a single Direct Hit! I'm hoping the agility and amazing dials on A's and E's will counter those drawbacks, good flying should keep them out of enemy arcs as well. What do you guys think? Breaking The Law 580 Posted September 3, 2014 If you replaced predator with ptl you would have a list that much more closely mimics the effects of healthy amounts of dietary fiber one can get from eating their greens. Also, the fact that you can focus+target lock when out of danger, or focus+evade when in danger, or boost out of danger, means someone else is less likely to eat your greens. 1 IronTau reacted to this

I completely forgot about PTL... I'm definitely going to give that a try instead! Rename Horn of Plenty. I think that is reserved for a Corran Horn + 5 Zs build. Slugrage 5,007 Posted September 3, 2014 The three Greens with Predator compare, more or less, to Howlrunner with three Obsidian and a few points for upgrades (or three stock BSPs). The same total hits (being 4 TIEs x 3 HP, or 3 As (2+2) , same attack and agility, but the TIEs would bring four attacks and the option to Roll, and the As would bring the option to TL or Boost. It's an interesting take on a version of a Rebel mini-swarm. Beyond that, I quite enjoy As with PtL but the Predator and Chaardan option is interesting too. Hobojebus 11,341 Posted September 3, 2014 I can see it being annoying for sure but you'll need to use corans double tap wisely.
Gather 259 Posted September 3, 2014 I generally dislike the attempts at cleverly named lists, but yours is awesome.

Nickotine42 119 Posted September 4, 2014 I like Coran and I like A's but haven't put them together. I would defiantly go with PTL. Predator is a choice card, but with that dial and all those actions, I'd go PTL.
Resv 77 Posted September 4, 2014 My favorite A-Wing build post Aces is: Green Squad Pilot (19) Refit (-2) Prototype Vet (0) Push (3) Vet Instincts (1) Total = 21 points A PS5 pilot with two actions on one of the best dials in the game is a LOT of fun. I will admit that I wish it did a bit more damage but I fly A-Wings so often that I am kinda use to it by now.
Lordtwann 136 Posted September 4, 2014 PTL all the way on green squads. For me it's an auto-include. I also really like it on Corran but it looks like you don't have the points for it. Though you may want to try. You're going for a fast, mobile, dogfighting list. PTL really helps you do that. Especially if you can boost and barrel roll. Unfortunately, A's can't barrel roll (which makes little sense to me flavor-wise). But I feel like its pretty established that PTL will be a much better EPT than Predator. This solves the survivability issue while still being able to remain an offensive fighter with Focus or TL'ing. However, the PS issue is still a problem. My initial deployment plan is to keep the Greens at least range 2 away from each other so that they can zero in on a target and Corran can either sit back and gun for fun or keep up with the Greens and run and gun. Man, talking about this list makes me feel like Dr. Suess.
Marinealver 8,068 Posted September 4, 2014 (edited) With the Green Squadron try Etahn with VI. Sure Coran can attack twice in a single turn (but looses it next turn) However Etahn can increase damage especially when focus firing down a single ship. If Etahn can knock down the shields a little then the Greenies can lay in some critical hits using Etahn's ability. The best part about it is that the Greenies don't need to be close to Etahn. They just need to shoot at the same ship. Edited September 4, 2014 by Marinealver
Hobojebus 11,341 Posted September 4, 2014 I dunno I've faced Ethan and he does not worry me, but I've seen what coran can do in the right circumstances.
FTS Gecko 23,148 Posted September 4, 2014 Played a game with Corran last night. I'd kitted him out with Marksmanship, R2D2 & Shield Upgrade, supported by two Daggers. He did well, but I got no use out of his ability (I never took the second shot once - either the target was already dead or I decided to hold off so I could fire again the next turn) or Marksmanship (no focuses were rolled on any of my attack dice, only blanks and hits - inconceivable!). Shield Upgrade and R2D2 were amazing - regenerated three shields, never dropped below two. Corran did spend a lot of the time chasing firing arcs, though. Pesky Interceptors and Phantoms.
