[Scrath build] AEG-77 Vigo

Recommended Posts

Looks like crap, to **** small, you suck for making it wrong, we hate you because you can make these models that we can not make, just kill yourself!

Yes that sums up how the internet usually express itself. But that's okay I can sustain myself on jealousy as well as awe. For they are but two sides of the same coin. I'm awesome like that. :D

Besides, Joe shouldn't talk. Who else but him would look at a GI Joe toy and think 'That would make a great Star Wars ship.'? That is some kind of awesome as well! ;)

Why are we so cool?

^_^

I have been hunting up cool ships that I might get off my wrethced butt and actualley build. The Mandalorians have been a faction that I have hunted up several times in the last year. After getting very familary with their designs, which are very hard triangles and or pyramids and edges, of round and edgey, the HISS tanks jumped up and said; "Hey Dummie... for that edge edge edge look we bleeping rock!"

Dammit... it ain't even half fair!

:P

Pssht don't listen to the haters. You're scratch builds are always awesome!!! Can't to see the finished product on this one.

No worries mate. The 'haters' are just a grumpy guy with too much time on his hands and a habit of using too many emoticons. :D

The bridge/cockpit and the upper engines has been glued into place. Also added a lot of detail to the front. The upper engines should be cone shaped but that is *bleeping* hard to get right. Hopefully what I've come up with will suffice.

This is good stuff, Macross!

Does anyone have a full size image of this? It is the only one I can find linked to the old SWG wiki:

How nice would this be to have hanging on the wall?

I might do that anyway, break out the blue print materials to make a wall hanger of some other ship. Taking a break from my CorSec CR-90 Interdiction repaint.

I am looking at this, the Star Wars wiki is saying this thing has six turrets and two cannons(I assume forward), in the image above we have four showing, which I marked yellow below.

What is this on the starboard side, marked in red?

Looks like part of the sensor package but it also sort of looks like a rail gun of some kind.

El finito! Actually, there is some clean up and the weapons left but the main ship is finished! The first pic shows the detail of what would become the back of each wing. When that was complete I just glued the wings in place. Third pic show the prongs, both sides. Fourth and fifth show the details added to the nose and the last one need no explanation. The prongs are actually not glued into place yet, instead they are held in place with blue tac.
