What's next? I am guessing a region book like suns of fortune..

Didn't they also appear in "Under a Black Sun", the FFG adventure?

Yes they did; you're doing a job for them at the beginning of the adventure.

I personally hope that if the next book is a setting book, assuming the patterns holds, that the region covered will be the Hapes Consortium. Would be interesting to see how FFG handles that area of the galaxy.

That being said, the best book, personal preferences aside, would most likely be Hutt space with Corporate space being a close second.

For the record, I hope the first AOR and F&D setting books will be Naboo and Dathomir respectively.

Dathomir would be awesome, and I would buy that in a heartbeat. I would like to put my money in for Tython or Illum.

I'm hoping the AOR area books will stick to regions of space rather then single planets. But F&D will probably need to go the single planet per book route.

There is so much great content in Suns of Fortune, for so many planets, that I hope they do more 'sector' sourcebooks which cover a similar range of space.

If they did whatever area Tatooine was in, they could include Geonosis and Ryloth, maybe even Kashyyyk if I recall correctly. That'd be cool to see. But probably more appropriate for Edge of the Empire.

For Force & Destiny it'd be cool to see some planets with old Sith and Jedi temples and the spirits of ancient Sith lurking around them.

I'd guess a book on Hutt space, or criminal organizations or the bounty hunters guild, but the last one would more likely be the bounty hunter's splat book. Since the AoR ace book is called "stay on target" I'd guess the BH book's title would be "No disintegrations"

Of course I'm not so secretly hoping for a kashyyk source book titled "I'd just as soon kiss a wookiee."

A Kashyyk sourcebook would be cool, especially if they stick to the Trandoshan homeworld being in the same solar system and cover both. It would be a great chance include some more SubPro designed and built craft, including hopefully some never before seen models. (SubPro was founded by a group of Trandoshan Shipwrights and I have a massive soft spot for SubPro and its craft.)

Personally, I'm hoping for a career book in one of the still underdeveloped careers.  Maybe the tech specialist but then I'm biased.  Some additional specialties like Junker/Salvager, rules for digging up and improvising parts on the Rim, running a workshop, and stuff revolving around that.  Then again, those that are talking about a pattern are probably right.

It seems pretty likely we'll see career books for the careers that haven't gotten one yet.

I'd love to see a Mechanic career book. A Droid Engineer spec would be fun.

I'm hoping for a shipwright spec when Mechanic comes but that would probably suit Engineer better then Mechanic. More detailed ship modding rules would be great though..

Yes we all want more career books. but I don't think that is next. Next would be region book then adventure. then the next career book. If they follow the pattern set up so far :)

We'll see Daeglan... do we even know for sure if this is going to be a set A-B-C pattern yet?  Or is this just how they're just handling the first round of publishing and once they get everything squared away it switches up?

Mechanic is already pretty hard set on repair but I suppose it could fit, most people on the Outer Rim don't go to a shipyard, they go find a mechanic.

I know. I meant that while a shipwright spec, aka actual ship design abilities and rules, would most likely, really almost certainly, be in the Engineer book rather then the Mechanic book a full set of rules for ship modding would fit the Mechanic book just as well, if not better, as it would the Engineer book.

I have some ideas which I idly drew up for modding a Xanter into a Privateer/Pirate vessel but I would love to be able to have an actual set of modding rules to allow me to mod it beyond what I've done so far, like yank one of the extra hyperdrives for more customization hard points.

Also I would be shocked if the Engineer book came out before the Mechanic book. If they stick to the pattern used in EOE so far the next EOE career book will be Smuggler or Bounty Hunter followed by Mechanic. If they stick to that pattern for AOR Ace will be followed by Diplomat, Spy or Engineer but I would be shocked if Engineer was the first of those three to get a book.

What pattern? It's not like they're going in alphabetical order or anything.

My guess is they'll have a bunch of meetings and determine whatever they think is the right book to publish next.

Sorry, I don't really see the pattern still.

Are you saying that because the first two things released for Age of Rebellion are an Adventure and a Career book, that the AOR releases will necessarily follow the same structure as the releases for Edge of the Empire did?

No.
I am saying so far they are following the same pattern as they have done for edge. And yes i know it is not definitive.  But it is still a pattern. And a pattern is something you can use to get an educated guess.

I'm not sure two data points makes a pattern though. Still, anything could happen. We'll just find out whenever they announce whatever the next thing is for whatever game.

I'm probably the only one, but I'd love to see a book involving Separatist holdouts. Beyond the Rim was cool, but I want more now.

I would too. I would love to see some of the CIS ships in the FFG RPG especially ones we know of that never appeared on screen though some of their big guns, which were pretty much the only CIS capital ships you saw on screen outside of a few in video games, would be nice too
