Actually you should be comparing them the the Rebel Transport and the Gozanti Cruiser. Scum doesn't have a corvette yet.

That's a lot of assumptions, with out actually looking at what the image illustrates.

The C-ROC was made the same size as the Imperial Corvette and the Rebel Corvette,

which if anything does not bode well for the next Scum Epic being any bigger than the Rebel Transport or Gozanti Cruiser.

We could end up with a repaint of the GR-75, and wouldn't that be ironic.

I mean off the top of my head I can't think of too many ships that said that would suit scum.

Actually the scale looks a lot closer to the gozanti than the raider or the corvette, though it does look a bit longer.  And regardless of the aparent scale of the ship, it's still a single pilot card single-section huge ship, which puts it firmly in the transport and gozanti camp, not the raider and cr90.

I mentioned this in the thread on Epics as obstacles, but the bases aren't all the same size - the CR-90 is just under 9", the Gozanti 8" - looking at your pic, doesn't the gap between the bases of the Raider and CR-90 look different to the C-ROC's - that makes me wonder if it's base is the same as the Goz & GR-75 ?

The C-ROC is very clearly meant to be the Scum counterpart to the GR75 or the Gozanti.  It is even based off the Gozanti in-canon so there really shouldn't be any doubts here.

Something larger is coming for Scum, someday.  Probably not for a while, until they find some card they want to unleash that will be more powerful than Jabba himself.

^ Cad Bane, the baddest mofo in the galaxy in any era. His crew card should obviously be in an epic box because he's just that epic.

Eh, Clone Wars era means Disney will probably step in at that point to override and say no.  Unless he's in a later season of Rebels I missed.

I think Xizor is a solid contender if Disney looks the other way and allows old Legends material to surpass Jabba.

Aside from Asajj, has there been one?  I admit, I'm not a Clone Wars guru but I think everything has been tied to OT, old EU, or the newer stuff like Rebels and the new movies.

Not a clone wars guru either (haven't actually watched it yet), but I've heard people talk about various characters that came from there.  Latts Razzi and Moralo Eval are both from the clone wars for instance.  Asajj as you pointed out (and gives an example of a quite recent pilot from that source)

Going by the overlapped images, it's just barely longer than the gozanti, with a bigger rear engine because of all the extra engines

Well if you are scaling the bases to match then of course the ships will be close in scale.

I didn't make that assumption, but maybe trusting in the consistency of the scale of the dials

was worse, now that I take an honest look at the dial for the CR90 spread.

I still don't think it's much smaller than the CR90.

I just took millimeter measurements and pixel measurements and started a rescale,

(I remember 195mm vs 227mm, and I had to reduce the CR90 to 94%...)

but my computer crashed and I lost almost all of it, I have to start from scratch now.

I still think because the rear of the C-ROC is so large it will be comparable to the CR90 anyway.

Has any one else noticed that none of the new pilots for the syck have an Ept or any other upgrades.

I don't know that you can say that for sure, considering that all that starts on the side that's covered up. Edited by gabe69velasquez

You can tell just by looking that the difference between the bases is way smaller than on the raider or the cr90.

And I scaled so a single base on the gozanti was the same size as a single base on the croc (the front base in this case).  Base size doesn't change.  That left the image above, which also implies the distance between the bases is indeed the same.  Coincidentally, the distance between the bases on the gozanti and the transport is ALSO identical.

All of which goes to say that the croc is our small, 2 epic point huge ship.  Which we already knew from the fact that it's only a single card anyway.

Granted its one card like the Transport and Gozanti, granted its base may be the same size as the Transport and Gozanti, but they've said they made the thing in 1/270 scale which is the same as the fighters. Because of that I expected and was biased to assume it will be big.

A Question of Scale

The Tantive IV and Rebel Transport will be the first X-Wing starships released outside of the game’s 1/270 scale. Simply too big to function in the game at that scale, they left us with two options. We could change their scale, or we could leave them out of the game. In the end, we decided these ships were simply too iconic and exciting to ignore, and we invented a new “relative” scale, carefully balancing each ship's playability against its presence on the table. This means you’ll have even more options for your games. You can continue to focus on dogfights and Standard tournament play at 1/270 scale, and you gain the option to play these huge ships in Cinematic Play and the new Epic tournament format.

C-ROC Gozanti - 73.91 meters
Gozanti-class cruiser - 63.8 meters
It's already supposed to be 10.11 meters longer, so image how much more with the scale difference.

63.8m / 238mm= 268 scale ... Nevermind, I must need new glasses.
So the smaller Epic ships are not in the same scale amongst themselves then.
Because I would swear the quote above says the GR-75 is not 270 scale.

Marinealver should have been the one to ask you, but do you think you could do a C-ROC colored GR-75

so there is one that matches the Scum GR-75 kit we have. Also how are you keeping the transparency, whenever I save something I've changed I lose the transparency.

To keep images as single clean props with no background you have to trace the images out, cut them, copy that selected area (image), and then save them as a new PNG image or whatever your programs default high res save file may be.

The Croc is a little longer than the Gon Gon. Look at the engines on both... that is how I sized my Croc Emoticon. The engines are the same, just in different configurations.

Well anyways the base looks like the Gozanti base. Also isn't the scaling different for most of the huge ships? It mentions in the article at the 1/270 scale (same as Gozanti I think). While the CR-90 is at a different scale like 1/350 or something?

Any way mechanic wise it is definatly a support ship as it is a single card huge ship where a corvette sized ship has two section cards.

One more hull but one less shield. No Coordinate but Jam.

One less PS but one more cargo slot. No deploy docked ships.

Does the 5 point less cost seem right?

Don't forget PS 1. The Empire will shoot first.

GR-75 is 90 meters long, so it is scaled to be smaller same as the raider and CR-90.  Gozanti was the first epic ship at 1/270 scale, looks like croc is the second.  So it will indeed be a bit longer, but not as large as the tantive.

Gozanti is ~9.37 inches.  Tantive is about 13 inches.  1/270 scale on 73.91 meters would be ~10.75.  Still closer to the gozanti size than the tantive.  Raider is slightly longer than the tantive, transport is just shorter than the gozanti.
