Are the rebels simply better?

Recommended Posts

Are we really having a heated discussion about the probability of the dice going south? You know a thread is lost when the discussion is all about the math behind the math being wrong. A small planet is going to spontaneously sink into a black hole somewhere in the universe if this keeps up.

I'd like to see the math behind that first.

It's approximately as well supported as BigKahuna's ideas about probability.

EDIT: That was snarky, which means I fell off the wagon. Time to reset the counter to 0 days, and I'm sorry.

I usually run 1 or 2 defenders and some ties or maybe a fire spray and I do well. 8 wins in a row with 5 or less ship imperial builds.

I think swarms are waining in their strengths and I certainly hope that they never bridge the gap between rebels and imperial play styles. Things will go stale that way and the current game designs have made their intentions clear in that regard.

One thing that will help is simply studying ships and their actions and dials.

When someone is saying it's likely that a defender will be beaten by a b-wing in a joust and is using three blank green dice as the basis for it, yes. But it's more incredulous than heated:)

Not sure but comparing Imperials to Rebal Aces, FFG certainly wants them to be.  I'm only half-joking.

Rebel Aces was designed after FFG's design shift on named pilots (increase their viability by charging less or making their abilities truly incredible), Imperial Aces was before. Plus the two nonEPT ImpAces pilots get soooo much better with Fleet Officer.
