BotanyGuy 0 Posted May 6, 2009 I played CE for the first time last night and loved it! However one question kept coming up each game: When do you reveal your alien? I searched and searched the rules and couldn't find an answer! The first game we revealed only when we used our power; however, in the rules this option is listed as a variant. So then we assumed you revealed after everyone had chosen, but before play began. Then for the last game, some people wanted to keep theirs hidden until they chose to use their power, so some revealed and some didn't. Is this addressed at all in the rule book? If so, where? Goober4473 0 Posted May 6, 2009 The standard is reveal all pwoers after everyone has made their decisions, and the varient is you keep them unrevealed, besides Tick-Tock and Miser, which say "Game Setup" on them, until you use them. BotanyGuy 0 Posted May 7, 2009 Thanks for the response. Funny thing is, our first game someone WAS the miser and didn't realize he needed to reveal immediately. Is this little piece of info really not in the rulebook? I guess it was supposed to be apparent that you reveal all aliens at the start. Oh well, we know now.
