Bloodrunstrue 0 Posted May 2, 2009 This is my first Attempt at building Ivy. She's mono Void in order to abuse Jivatma and soiree's cards. And as I personally favor her off of Void because otherwise I think i may as well use Makato, anyways the goal of the deck is to swarm the opponent whilst utilising my support and denying them their life gain. All attacks roll 3' and support is all 5+ EXCEPT Shooting Capeora which has an extremely valid reason for it's inclusion; it's E with Ivy's R is bonkers! But yeah it's just a pigeon theorem Aggro deck: Charcters: Ivy. Attacks: 4 Raging gnome 4 Howling spirits 4 Razor's bite. 4 Kurzyu reppa. 4 Cross madness 3 Evil sparrow. (23) Assets: 4 Olcadan's mentoring 4 Ice coffin of the sleepy ancient. =D ( This card is absolute staple in IVY.) (8.) Foundations: 4 Prominent noblewoman 4 Genius alchemist 4 Soul that protects 4 Body of Souls 4 The ways of punishment 4 The glare from the abyss 4 Shooting capoera 4 Angel of evening. 4 Excitable. (36.) Total 67 cards. May be a bit too clunky. The idea is to just go balls out with thsi deck and string attacks. I've cared little against control because honestly there's hardly much anti control in void right now and these foundations smooth out with my attacks so well. I'd like to hear your thoughts and opinions. Thankyou New found lover of IVY.
Deck dont matter 0 Posted May 2, 2009 I would recommend realm of Midnight for your foundation base. That card can get stupid with Busta Cap out...You can just keep going and going and going...tested it in my Void Ivy deck...Got 16 attacks played in 1 turn without the Action being played...LOL

guitalex2008 0 Posted May 5, 2009 I don't see the point for Controller of Souls in the deck. It's not good enough card draw and other than being anti-Olcadan's, barely has a purpose and doesn't have a block. Which begs the question of why it's so **** expensive to purchase. I'd say take it out for Aquakinesis if you have it. To combo with Razor's Bite, I'd also recommend Artificial Soul or Researching Anywhere. You can live without Ice Coffins, believe me. Also, I'd hate to say it, but if you're planning to use Kuzuryu Reppa, you may need the Genius Alchemist. This is so that the 6 diff doesn't count toward progressive (since Prominent Noblewoman can do the multiple if needed). You may not NEED the action if you do Realm of Midnight/Shooting Capoera, but it would not hurt to pack a copy or two, considering that if you don't get Shooting Cap but do get Realm of Midnight, it's enough to start an onslaught. And because of the way that Switching Weapon Styles is worded, if you do not use Genius Alchemist on the Switching, you still only have to make a 7 at any point for Kuzuryu. If you do, you only need a 6. Now as for the deck size, you can remove Excitable, which serves zero purpose in the deck other than a 6 check. Ooh, or you can run Researching the Past, so that when you ditch cards for Ways, you can ditch 6 checks and put them back on top of the deck (as long as you remember to put them on top of your discard pile, that is). This way you wouldn't need to run so many 6 checks. Well, there's a crapload of ideas with no sense of direction; hope I helped in some way lol
dshaffer 0 Posted May 5, 2009 IF you can get them, Path of the Master + Ways of Punishment means you dont need quite as many attacks to begin with. I'd say drop the Kuzuya Reppa's for em if you can.
