lionvictore 0 Posted June 21, 2014 Taking control of enemy ports If the land area connected to a port is successfully attacked and taken control of by another player, that player may immediately replace any enemy Ship units in the Port with an equal number of his own available Ship units (or as many Ship units as he has available, he desires, or is allowed by supply limits). Excess enemy ships are simply removed from the board. If there are 1 ship in port, can attacking player destroy this ship (as if replace for 0 ship). If replace means exchange, so can he replace something (1 ship) for nothing (0 ship)? Of course he has availalble ship units and is allowed by supply limits. The Professor 216 Posted June 21, 2014 lionvictore, Welcome to the forum! I'm having a bit of difficulty with your inquiry as I'm guessing that English is not your native language. Remember, you can't attack Ports, so the only way to eliminate Ships in Port is to destroy the garrison on land (adjacent to the Port). Once the land garrison is destroyed, you eliminate all enemy Ships AND may replace those ships given the availability of Ships in your inventory AND within Supply. Hope that helps. Cheers, Joe

When a player attacks and takes an enemy land space that includes a port containing ships, the attacking player may replace any number of those ships with his/her own, or may simply destroy them.
