Which might be better?

I've been really enjoying a variant of that first list. I'd trade out the Linked Battery for Flechette Cannons on the Rhos so they can do stuff when they SLAM, and I'd give them all Crackshot.

You might be thinking, "WTF is that?" Don't worry. There's method to my madness.

Vynder and the Rho are slowly crawling along with missiles. Once they isolate a target, they'll lock it. Then they can SLAM and pursue that target at their leisure, using ASLAM to get the focus. Vynder can get a focus and an extra defense die, basically making his ship into a very maneuverable TIE Defender. Karsabi is doing his normal thing. Move, SLAM, stress, fire away. I needed some extra firepower and I think Karsabi will deliver.

I don't know how well the UR gunboats will play, but I'm looking forward to trying them out!

Edit: They weren't terrible... but they weren't great... I'll stick with cannons.

A big thank you for reminding me how much I freaking love Deathrain. Such a fun ship to fly. Did a 2-1 in a tournament today, only losing against a Nym-Miranda list where Miranda survived at 4 hull while I blanked *twice* with Deathrain rockets against her. Nym was demolished in two rounds of combat.

^Next turn, Deathrain did a right boost, *front* bomblet, left barrel roll and 4-koi through the rock (no damage) to land where his Gunboat is and blocking Quickdraw... who wouldn't reach anyone that combat round, while Backdraft exploded in a lovely way under HLC fire.  The bomblet did a couple damage to his GUN (and one to Deathrain).

 

And I will totally steal your VI idea on the Rho's for the list I'll use for the next regional (2x HLC Rho's + PS11 Quickdraw). In another tournament this weekend (friday, another 2-1) I really missed them when I faced two Harpoon Rho's + Kylo. Losing ships due the simultaneous attack rule is not cool :(. I also need to try a triple Adaptability and Cruise Missiles on QD.

Greetings all! 

Just finished our Regional in Grosseto, where I sadly lost the final against who is actually the strongest Italian Player. 

But! 

Swiss round finished with a final score of 4-1 and a MoV of 825. 

My GUN (rho squadron veteran with guidance, harpoons, extramunitions and deadeye) obliterated several enemies with ease in the alpha strike. 

What a glorious ship. :) it requires skillful planning as when to strike and when to disengage but it reaps great rewards.

 

The list then features Vader with cruise missile, title, ATC, Guidance Chips and Juke. Greatly increased its durability and the damage output.

Last but not least: Quickdraw with Adaptability, Guidance chips, harpoons, advanced optics and the auto include title and fire control system.

Which might be better?

I played Karsabi and a Rho built the same way as in your first list today and they ruled. I did have lightning reflexes on the rho and it was super helpful. I was really impressed by their ability to keep guns on targets without the need to reload. Those two ships plus x7 Vessery was great!

I have a major problem with the GoG games - I can't seem to calibrate modern joysticks!

I have to pick up a CH Flightstick or something with manual trim. Hehe. :lol:

That looks like a real fun list. With all the Nyms, Ghosts, Shadow Casters and Mirandas running around, would it be helpful if somehow Vessery could have an control cannon on board using the D Title instead of the very fine X7?
