Can't Find the Edge of Darkness Sample Characters

I was hoping to run an introductory adventure with Edge of Darkness. It looks like it covers a pretty broad scope and is heavy on the investigating, which is good. The trouble is that the sample characters that the pdf mentions a few times are nowhere to be found. I've tried searching the internet and come up with jack squat. I've found the Shattered Hope sample characters, but the team seems heavily geared towards combat. I'd rather start from the group that was created for Edge of Darkness, assuming that they were built with a more diverse adventure in mind.

 

Anybody know where these guys went?
