hilstad 18 Posted May 12, 2014 The two beginner boxes have gorgeous poster maps included in them, but that is less useful for those of use running the games on VTT sites. I like running the beginner boxes online to introduce new players to the FFG games. Is there any possibility of being able to purchase digital versions of the poster maps? MrHotter 32 Posted May 12, 2014 No, they don't make digital versions of their Star Wars products unless they are for promotional purposes. That's in the license requirements from Lucas (Disney). Since the maps are not scaled to figures anyway, you could take a photo of them and share them as documents on your virtual table.

Or, if you have access to a scanner, just plop the maps in there. They aren't that big.

No reason that maps can't have digital versions IMO.
awayputurwpn 7,720 Posted May 30, 2014 Yeah, the "digital content" thing is a holdover from back in the WEG days when they first wrote up the RPG license and, for whatever reason, it hasn't been changed yet. There are some loopholes, but the producing and selling of PDFs is, sadly, a no-no.

Well, it's the hope that with LucasArts being reduced in capacity from what it was prior to the Disney purchase, when the time comes to renew the license, FFG will be able to renegotiate the terms so that RPG materials fall outside of the "digital content" description (such as PDFs of the books and other material). 1 awayputurwpn reacted to this

daine_deneith 5 Posted June 5, 2014 For the Edge Beginner Box. I just edited the PDFs. Isolated the maps and saved them as JPGs. Then took those to Office Max and had them print me poster size versions. Didn't cost much. 1 kaosoe reacted to this
