Is the Deep-X Explorer still on you're list? I know you did the other two I asked for in the same post, but I don't think you did that one yet.

Is the Deep-X Explorer still on you're list? I know you did the other two I asked for in the same post, but I don't think you did that one yet.

I felt as though I was forgetting something. Here you go!

DPx Yacht

AKA Deep-X “Explorer”

250px-DPx.JPG

Era: Rebellion

Hull type: Yacht/Scout Ship

Ship Class:  DPx Yacht/Deep-X Variant

Manufacturer: Uulshos Manufacturing

Hyperdrive: Class 1 (Backup Class 8)

Navcomp: Equipped

Sensor Range: Long

Ship's Complement: Pilot

Encumbrance Capacity: 83 (50 tons)

Passenger Capacity: 5

Consumables: 6 months

Cost/Rarity: 135,000 credits (55,000 used)/7

Customization Hard Points: 1

Silhouette: 4

Speed: 4

Handling: +1

Defense: 1/1

Armor: 2

Hull Threshold: 20

System Threshold: 19

Weapons:

Two wing mounted laser cannons (Fire Arc Forward; Damage 6; Critical 3; Range [Close]; Linked 1)

Creator’s Notes: I will open this by saying that I took a few liberties with this ship. It didn’t make sense to have two gunners for forward firing cannons, so I removed them. As this is also a scout variant, I increased the sensor range and handling (as fluff states the engines were worked on for better performance). Otherwise, this is just a reasonably speedy yacht.

For the non-scout version, make the following changes:

Hyperdrive: Class 2 (Backup Class 12); Sensor Range: Short; Consumables: 3 months; Handling: 0; Hard Points: 5.

Remove weapons.

Cost: 115,000 credits (50,000 used).

How about this one?  I like it because it looks like it's about the size of a Firefly (though the Serenity didn't have weapons).

Starrunner class (Sand Sloth)

http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100907233943/starwars/images/8/88/Sand_Sloth_(Ship).jpg

That does look intersting! I'll be leaving a lot to speculation, of course, but it should be fun! I'll try to get that one squared away later this weekend/early next week!

I'll clean this up to add the photo and the proper links later, but this is what I have for the Starrunner.

Starrunner-class Starship

250px-Sand_Sloth_%28Ship%29.jpg

Era: Rise of the Empire

Hull type: Freighter

Ship Class: Starrunner-class Starship

Manufacturer: Corellian Engineering Corporation

Hyperdrive: Class 2 (Backup Class 12)

Navcomp: Equipped

Sensor Range: Short

Ship's Complement: Pilot

Encumbrance Capacity: 35 (20 tons)

Passenger Capacity: 6

Consumables: 3 months

Cost/Rarity: 110,000 credits/5

Customization Hard Points: 5

Silhouette: 4

Speed: 3

Handling: -1

Defense: 1/1

Armor: 3

Hull Threshold: 23

System Threshold: 19

Weapons:

Two “wing” mounted medium laser cannons (Fire Arc Forward; Damage 6; Critical 3; Range [Close]; Linked 1)

Creator’s Note: Once again I don’t have access to Polyhedron 100 to confirm the numbers on Wookieepedia, but I made due with what I had.

The stats I have here are based off of the Sand Sloth. The cargo seems a bit low, honestly, and I cannot tell if it’s because of any modifications (like the fighter that seems to be on top) or if the cargo was really that small. At it’s size, I would probably venture something close to 2-4 times the amount. But, as it is written, thus it is statted.

I also gutted the Ion Cannons as they seemed to be an after-market addition.

The ship also seems a bit ungainly, so I thought the -1 handling was apt.

33 (32 freed Prisoners/Slaves + 1 abolitionist operative) and the 3 PC's. Frankly, the Quatermaster is pretty much a slightly slower Citadel that trades defense for encumbrance, but the newer ship wouldn't have the issues this thing has (which would kill the "fun".) They might upgrade to a Citadel (it'd make sense to use them as a prisoner transport and they'd be readily available in the sector), but it depends on what the party ends up doing. They did have the option of hijacking a L4000 for the same purpose, but like I said, they didn't want to fly a helmet. So they got a Quartermaster that they extracted from an dilapidated and abandoned mining station instead. We left off with them hiding in some planetary mountains from the Imperials trying to figure out WTH the maintenance and nav computers are going on about. While what the display screens are showing is Basic, its a really old variant that none of them encountered. A lot gets lost in the translation apperantly. ;) Use this video from 1:30 to 4:30 for an idea.

By the by, the more I look at your request, the more I think you'll need some form of starliner, like the one that Anakin and Padme went on in Episode 2. OR maybe something like this?

If so, I can start looking at smaller passenger liners and larger shuttles for you that are not military ships. If you see something really interesting, though, please feel free to send it!

Thanks, man!  I like to use the more unique ships in my games to give it a more personal feel.

That's why I do projects like this in the first place! My starfighter thread was due to my desire to have more than just TIE silhouettes stamped to a vehicle. Now I have a nice list going ^^;

Think I got the ship statted correctly, or do you think it needs some tweaks?

Ya know, I toyed with the idea of request the StarSpeeder 1000/3000 but decided against it because... Reasons?  I dunno, probably just forgot. As for the Nabooian ships, the J-type (the big bomber looking one) is actually stated out in Suns of Fortune. Carries only 3 passengers believe or not. The H-type, the conical one, I don't think is stated out, but has even less room than the J if I recall correctly. Most starliners I've seen in the EU are either capital ship sized things that require a lot of crew, converted frieghters (what my guys are rolling with... Kinda), or the StarSpeeder series. The X series of video games had dedicated frieghter sized people movers in the "TP" catagory fo ships, but have fun trying to convert the numbers if you go down that road.

I was noticing the same problem with Starliners, but I think I might have a few other ideas. I'll try to stat up the StarSpeeder(s) today, and if you have specific vehicles in mind, I'd be willing to attack those numbers (it was how I statted a few of my other ships anyway).

Have at 'er then! :)

Here is the list of all the TP class ships if you're intrested. I picked those because they were the more generic of the bunch. As a side note, your average passenger takes up 6 units of space for cargo class M, while marines/mercs take 8.

Edit: Another site that has pics for eveything: http://roguey.co.uk/x3ap/ships/

Interesting. I'll see what I can do.

I just had a large number of PEBKAC situations, and I need to play catch-up on everything I didn't get done for work this afternoon. You'll see some of these soon, just possibly not as soon as you'd like ^^;

Got a few more when you have time.

Nu-class assualt shuttle Saw it on the star fighter thread, but I think its more suited for here. ;)

Aurore-class freighter

GX1 Short Haul Freighter

T-6 Shuttle

Thanks!

Edit: Forgot one: JV-7 Escort Shuttle

This might acutally be more for the fighter thread actually. But it has a crew of 8 and can carry 10 passengers plus some cargo so... Shuttles are kinda wierd as they can fit between fighters and frieghters.

I'll put what I can on the docket; some of them may not be touched due to the things I mentioned in the first post (beta, plethora of other stats, official stats, etc), but I'll do what I can!

Well if LibrariaNPC wants to I stated out the Nu-class Shuttle. I left it over in the starfighter thread, he can pull it over to this thread.

First, I'm sorry for the radio silence. I've been spending my mornings moving into the new house, my evenings at work (yay reports!) and my free time has been nowhere near a computer, but I'm back~ish and statting again!

This madness may cut out a bit starting next week (reports will be done AND I'll be in my new place), so hopefully that will go over well. .

Second:

Well if LibrariaNPC wants to I stated out the Nu-class Shuttle. I left it over in the starfighter thread, he can pull it over to this thread.

SynysterDreamer did a pretty good write-up, but now that I've been doing more work with bigger ships and I've had the chance to look at a lot of numbers with the splatbooks, here's my approach to it.

There is a LOT of SynysterDreamer's work here, so this one isn't entirely my own. Think of it more of my revision of work already done.

Nu-class Attack Shuttle

Special credit to SynysterDreamer for an attempt I could work with.

250px-Republicattackshuttle.jpg

Era: Rise of the Empire

Hull type: Troop Transport

Ship Class:  Nu-class Attack Shuttle

Manufacturer: Cygnus Spaceworks

Hyperdrive: Class 1

Navcomp: Equipped

Sensor Range: Closer

Ship's Complement: Pilot, Gunner

Encumbrance Capacity: 20 (2 tons)

Passenger Capacity: 30 (troops)

Consumables: 2 days

Cost/Rarity: 85,000 credits (50,000 used)/5

Customization Hard Points: 2

Silhouette: 4

Speed: 3

Handling: 0

Defense: 1/1

Armor: 4

Hull Threshold: 24

System Threshold: 16

Weapons:

2 Fuselage Mounted Medium Laser Cannons (Fire Arc Forward; Damage 6; Critical 3; Range [Close]; Linked 1)

2 Cockpit Mounted Turrets (Fire Arc Forward Turret; Damage 6; Critical 3; Range [Close]; Linked 1)

Creator’s Note: The cargo capacity is rather low, but I think that’s for designated cargo, not what the passengers (i.e. troops) are carrying. You can safely assume that 30 clone troopers with weapons, reloads, tools, and some other bigger weapons (like E-webs) will fit. This could probably be closer to the 140-180 range by my guess if the passenger space was gutted and converted to a single cargo bay.

I made some other changes from SynysterDreamer’s version. I lowered the speed to that of other shuttles, and I lowered the Hull as this ship filled a role similar to the Lambda-class (but obviously was phased out for a newer and better design). I raised the System Threshold by a hair as the shuttle includes a powerful communication system, which may make the overall system suite a bit more reliable to power it.

Alright, one more before I bail out and take the drive to get more cargo for the new place.

Star Speeder 1000/3000

200px-StarSpeeder1000_views.png

Era: Rise of the Empire/Rebellion/New Republic (3000)

Hull type: Spaceliner

Ship Class:  StarSpeeder 1000/3000

Manufacturer: Sacul Aerospace

Hyperdrive: Class 2 (Backup Class 12)

Navcomp: Equipped

Sensor Range:

Ship's Complement: Pilot (1000:Sentient; 3000: RX-Series Droid), Astromech (in socket), Systems Analyst (1000 only)

Encumbrance Capacity: 30

Passenger Capacity: Seating for 40 (tourists with luggage; sized for a Wookiee; all in one room)

Consumables: 4 months

Cost/Rarity: 120,000 (75,000 used)credits/6

Customization Hard Points: 3

Silhouette: 4

Speed: 2

Handling: -1

Defense: 1/1

Armor: 2

Hull Threshold: 24

System Threshold: 22

Weapons:

1000:

Two concealed forward firing laser cannons (Fire Arc Forward; Damage 5; Critical 3; Range [Close])

Two concealed forward firing blaster cannons (Fire Arc Forward; Damage 4; Critical 4; Range [Close])

3000:

Two concealed forward firing laser cannons (Fire Arc ; Damage 6; Critical 3; Range [Close])

Special Note: The vehicles are also able to act as low-depth submersibles without shield configuration.

Creator’s Note: As they are nearly identical, I statted them together as I didn’t see a point to do so otherwise. Certain aspects of this are pure speculation, of course, as we lack information on cargo capacity. I would put this somewhere in the 150-200 range without the passengers.

There may be reasons the 3000 is better besides being newer, but there’s nothing to prove or disprove this.
