My current build runs 16 attacks and a bit higher difficulty, mostly her support. Basically running more attacks in this version, Relentless drawing and spamming out attacks. Pommel Smash is amazing when tacked on as a reversal, personal style is crazy for astrid, especially since all my attacks except for pommel smash have blocks, and she's already boosting the damage insanely. Experienced combatant is a bit obvious, and when combined with relentless it's not too difficult to fuel it. I can sit back slightly more defensively and play the reversal game or when they open themselves up spam attacks away. I considered the first execution rite, but I didn't really want more bitter rivals bait, as of now only pommel smash and reaver's axe are BRable. 36 weapons run in the deck, that + personal style is pretty painful. Enraged Golem is something im a little unsure about; it's very nice, but i'll be commiting foundations for astrid for nearly the same affect, it has no block, and it is a 3 diff when im already running bitter and experienced. Any suggestions? I'm planning on testing this and the 16 attack version out quite a bit. It's mostly a fire build, with the exception of weak slash, tyr's and hiogi both boost my next attack by +2. The other thing i'm considering is A Samurai's Life, for bouncing back my attacks and playing them as reversals after blocking with them, etc. If it seems needed i'll probably run it. trane2 0 Posted April 21, 2009 makai high noble, olcadon's, and samuri's life are the only obvious aditions for me. i might consider adding in astrid's super (odin's something).
Eithinis 0 Posted April 21, 2009 Olcadans is something i will put in when I need to, i don't run them locally personally but I certainly do when testing for a tournament i'll travel to, and add them. Makai + Blinding Rage seems like overkill, and I originally had makais in which I took out for personal style, and A Samurai's Life is still something im considering for this build. I don't own any Odin's, and I wouldn't run it in this version personally because im about low cost (3/4 diff) attacks and just spamming it, abusing her ability and personal style; they can easily start coming at anywhere between 9-20 per, and bitter helps push em through I definitely will look into A Samurai's Life, and if it seems like I need to i'll add Makai or swap blinding rage out for makai since makai is manifestable, I just like that blinding doesn't have to be ready. Ultimo2 0 Posted April 22, 2009 Resourceful? So how much momentum do you keep? Cause it effects your damage output
Eithinis 0 Posted April 22, 2009 generally just one; resourceful is more in there since it's a weapon, but it is nice as an "oh ****" situation when it comes down to it; i tend to ditch any attack to discard though.

Good idea, I didn't run it because of 4 check and didn't think i'd use it. But I find myself milling a lot of cards that aren't weapon I really like HIlde's weapon..I ran it over Valketc
