Son Gopaul 0 Posted November 24, 2008 When released in Domination, people thought ::Sagat:: was broken. Searching for foundations AND putting them into play with one FREE ability that works on ANY attack dealing damage? Yeah, the eyebrows were raised when this guy came along. However, it seemed not to be the case. ::Sagat:: is far too slow to keep with an aggro deck, and a control deck pounces on his already committed foundations. I found this way out when playing him off Fire in the UK Team Nationals, where my numerous mistakes when picking pairings and my lack of speed left my team dead last . However, I found a redeeming factor with Sagat. Clean Rematch. This card lets you search for more than what you already have, and in this deck works wonders when getting a Ways of Punishment out first turn, and an End it All later. Basically you can broaden your horizions on what you can and can't have, therefore getting all your foundations out becomes so much more easier, especially when preparing for a kill turn. So for the Earth Patch, I decided to revive my love for Sagat and regret giving up on him in the first place. Tiger Destruction v1.0 (Earth Patch edition) Characters: 11x ::Sagat:: 6/6 +0M 6HS 28VIT Actions: 74x Absurd Strength 1/5 +1M3x Clean Rematch 0/4 +2L Assets: 22x Red Gi 3/4 +2H Attacks: 124x High Plasma Beam 4/3 3H3 +1H4x Air Backbreaker 5/3 3M5 Throw +3H4x Tiger Fury 7/3 4H4 +1M Splits: 44x Clones 2/5 Foundation or 3/5 Attack 3M5 Foundations: 364x 00101.01101.00001.01111, 1/54x The Glare from the Abyss 1/6 +3M4x End it All 1/6 +3L4x Holding Ground 2/4 +2L4x Inhuman Perception 2/5 +2H4x Awakening 2/5 +2M4x The Ways of Punishment 2/5 +0H4x The Prince of Darkness 3/44x Program Malfunction 3/5 +1M Side: 81x Jivatma 6/6 +0M Character 6HS 30VIT3x Tag Along 5/4 Action4x Battle Prowess 1/4 Foundation So the idea of the deck is to set up as quick as possible to achieve to kill turn, which is as follows:1 - First F with End it All. This prevents opponents from using their Holding Grounds/Tendon Strengths/anything with an R on it.2 - Commit any problem foundations with Program Malfunction. Look out for E's like Prince of Darkness/Awakening/Battle Prowess, as obviously R's are already out of the question.3 - Play a Tiger Fury/High Plasma Beam/something that will kill fast4 - As your first E, use Ways of Punishment to discard them down to 1 card.5 - Get rid of the final card using Red Gi/Glare from the Abyss6 - E with all your damage pumps7 - ????8 - Profit! I'm trying to see any major flaws in the plan, but so far it doesn't look like there are any - can anyone see what I can't?
theboogerman 0 Posted November 24, 2008 I like the way your deck is looking. promo Bishamon won our earth event with the whole mill thing. Have you done any testing yet? I'd like to hear how you do as Sagat has always been one of my favorite street fighters. Good luck.
