two questions

6 posts in this topic

1 if i am defending with the tyrells against an oponent who is supporting himself, can i use the queen of thorns card to remove the support order? if he is being sipported by anpther player, can i remove the other player´s support order?

2 i have the second edition, and i want to know if the expansions for the first edition can be played in this version because i would like to follow the story of where the show is (i have read all the books but the friends who i play with haven´t and, if what i belive is correct, the two expansions for this game, -affc, adwd- are featured in the books and it would spoil them).

thanks

1. "Immediately remove one of your opponent's Order tokens in any on area adjacent to the embattled area.  You may not remove the March Order token used to start this combat"

Yes, you may remove the support order.  No, you may not remove another player's order, because he is not your opponent in this combat.

2. The expansions for the First Edition are nothing like the expansions for the Second Edition.  Clash of Kings is pretty much already included in the Second Edition (Ports, Siege Engines, 6th Player).  Storm of Swords is a very different game (different board, 4 players, extra orders, hostages, seasons).  If you have 2nd Ed, don't bother getting Clash of Kings.

Thanks for answering so fast, i only have one last question regarding the expansions. Is there any units layout or something just to get a bit closer to what´s going on in the series (i.e. the starks start in riverrun, lannisters in kingslanding, etc.)

thanks

Neither Clash of Kings nor Storm of Swords have such a layout - everybody starts in their normal home areas.

Actually, Storm of Swords is pretty close to what he is looking for. Lannisters do have KL, Starks already have a prescence in the Riverlands, etc

I have yet to try them, but I believe the new print-on-demand expansions supposedly give players start positions that mirror the relative positions in the books more closely.

That being said, there's always the possibility of houseruling your own scenario - several such have been attempted in the past (an example "Lannisters in King's Landing" setup might involve starting with 2-3 additional footmen in control of KL).
