Craft stores will often sell small fake succulents that can pass as large agave-like plants at Legion scale. The craft stores are in Christmas mode right now so you'll have a better bet in the spring/summer

With the news that FFG is deleting the contents of this forum, I thought it would be helpful to create a thread for people to post what they thought was the best post in the various categories here on the site.
This way, we can save any images or ideas for later use should we need to.

I have had my Ender 3 for about a year and it has been pretty good so far. My period of biggest issues was when I had a bad roll of filament that kept snapping, ruining prints and clogging the tube. Other than that my issues have been user error.
Eventually I'd like to buy a resin printer like an Anycubic to print detailed minis, but I have too many projects going on as it is to justify that.

Overall I liked the season, but it started to feel like Disney and FilFav were trying to set up too many separates series at once.
So either Grogu dies in 15 in-canon years or he leaves the academy early, or he "graduates", but then where was he during the whole ST?
I am one of the few (or at least it feels that way on the internet) who likes Luke in the Last Jedi, but it was nice to see him going ham and not being hamstrung by 70s/80s special effects and fight choreography. Also how I feel about Boba, nice to see him be a combat powerhouse this season and not get taken out by a flailing blind guy.

Does this technique work if Vader has Force Push equipped?

The good news is: in the worst case scenario you just print more!

Been working on updating it after I noticed some elements I wasn't happy with.
Here is screenshot of the TinkerCAD render. Figure is a 28mm silhouette.

Yeah, Thingiverse's servers are the worst sometimes. I expect those file issues to smooth out in time.
I haven't gotten the chance to print out the whole thing but will get most of it done this weekend. My Ender 3 is in my home office and I've been working from home so my printing time is limited.
I only printed out the walls for an older version, I haven't printed any of the new version but plan to this weekend. And yes the new version has holes for magnets on the side! It would have been too difficult to store as one piece I thought.
When I printed the walls last time I didn't need a brim, but I use a glue stick on my bed so your mileage may vary.
https://imgur.com/a/WVQOHggIt was inspired by Ronto Roasters from Galaxy's Edge. Here are some concepts to see what I mean. Cheffrey85 has already made a great tower+bridge that I have linked in the Thingiverse page.

Hello All,
I created the following terrain piece and would appreciate some testers and/or feedback.

Thanks!

That looks great!
Were you by chance inspired by Rob Hawkins?

If not, you should check it out. There are some wild details in his table.

If OP has a 3D printer, he could have bought this bundle from Imperial Terrain: https://imperialterrain.com/collections/stls-for-star-wars-legion-terrain/products/modular-landing-bay-plus-digital-stl-files
And printed it himself.

FFG didn't do them for no reason, FFG did it because they viewed the marketing benefit of the convention exclusives was seen as worth it when it comes to attracting new players. (They could still sell the previous LE sculpts as long as they have the molds too)
There isn't any marketing value to what they did with the Luke LE (or at least very little), FFG distributed them to stores that were then going to distribute them to already entrenched players. Nothing prevented FFG from just selling the copies they made and then producing more copies if there was a demand for them.Digitalfiends reacted to this -
I have read that hard plastic molds are expensive to manufacture (at least that is what I have read in regards to Warhammer models) and I'm surprised that FFG has put in the effort to sculpt an entirely unique model that they are not directly profiting from. Are they just going to get rid of the mold after this?
I know that the LE Vader and Obi-Wan are not being produced anymore but did FFG just trash those molds?

I think it is pretty fun to play with the heavies. Seeing an At-st and an Airspeeder face off, just makes my inner 10 year old happy. With the recent rebalancing, the Civil War era heavies are all pretty balanced against each other (or at least you aren't hurting yourself by taking one).
For teaching them how to play, I recommend buying both Leia and Veers or the personnel upgrades for both factions. (You already have Leia so you are halfway there!) They are more straightforward than Vader or Luke, and are good in combination with Luke and Vader when you expand.
Rebel Veterans and Shoretroopers come with two units in the box and allow you to have more core troopers. Rebel Commandos and Scout Troopers also come with two units in a box.
-
I don't see the AT-AT becoming a usable unit at all, at scale an AT-ST is barely at the knees of an AT-AT. There is a possibility for the AT-TE but that is still unlikely.
Now the Hellfire Tank and the Homing Spider Droid I see as far more likely.

For now CIS/GAR can do it as long as they take an operative too

This might be a question for your programming guy, but do you,@Mbweha know whether the units are manually assigned synergy values or whether it is determined by a variable? If it is a variable, it might be more clear to display the numeric values it assigns (or if you are in love with the clean aesthetic, allow a toggle-able option to display the values).
Also, the landing page https://synergytool.teamrelentlesstabletop.com/ doesn't seem to be doing much. Instead, it would be nice to have the links to the four different factions, saving people a click if they don't need to look at Rebels.

15 minutes ago, buckero0 said:just out of curiosity, why? You could proxy models here for esthetics regardless. The fleet troopers are less survivable and always have been.
The offensive output has a higher ceiling with fleets, but not by much and getting them into position to use their range 2 weapons is always iffy, even with 6 units of them.
Unless you want dlt20, naked troopers is probably the only way to run Rebels since day 1. I still don't think the z6 at range 3 is better than the dlt20 with range 4 and critical.
I'm not suggesting it is super likely, just a possibility.
See Dave Kingsley's list from the August GenCon online tournament: https://thefifthtrooper.com/gencon-online-top-8/
It had two naked Rebel Troopers and then two Fleet Troopers with Scatter Guns. I could see a similar list doing well with two naked Fleet Troopers and then two with Scatter Guns.
Generally what has changed is that GAR is less likely to delete units from range allowing the likes of Tauntauns and Fleets Troopers to close the distance.

1 minute ago, costi said:Shores + heavy + mortar is 125. You also missed that the heavy went up by 3 points, so the whole set is up by 5.
The problem is, it is still the cheapest 2 activations (2 storms with DLT are 132 points), so the Empire simply got a tax on their cheapest (and very effective) corps.
I understand the logic (make people take something other than Shores) but for that to work the other options need to be comparable in cost, not more expensive. Otherwise there's little incentive to take them.
They were including the extra trooper which got a price reduction
-
I want to see Rebel shock / drop troopers like Cara Dune that can have an ability similar to infiltrate except they can be deployed in the middle of the game.
Saul's partisans as a new core unit for the rebels would also be interesting.
I'd also like to see Geonosians for the CIS.
LordBubba and lunitic501 reacted to this -
The heavy weapons for Rebel and Empire core units needed to be reduced more. Naked Rebel Troopers and Shoretroopers are still the most efficient options for their respective armies.
A Stormtrooper squad with the DLT-19 (the cheapest non HH-12 weapon) is 66 points. Two of them come to 132 points for two activations.
A Shoretrooper squad with the T-21b and a DF-90 Mortar Trooper come to 125 points (87 + 38) for two activations.
Rebels at least might shake things up by playing naked Fleet Troopers in place of some naked Rebel Troopers.

Here is the building printed out (mostly) and next to Cheffrey85's towers and bridge.
