Rise Against the Reach OOC
Darth__Lego replied to Edgehawk's topic in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion Beginner Game
Could Wesk suffer from a setback to give Argo a boost by pushing him up? -

Would need an Athletics check from both, then? Since I can't exactly parkour my way up. -

Since Wesk and Argo are going into the ducts, I was thinking that Wesk could pick up the Anooba, leap up and give it a boost, then parkour his way back up. Also those advantages and triumphs you should use for something more important, haha. -

@Edgehawk In the duct, if Wesk Kyuzo Leapt up, would he be able to reach the top in one leap or would he still need to parkour his way up? -

Aye, aye cap'n. Mind sending the initiative list here for quick access? EDIT: Might also want to think of a way to more easily coordinate each thread taking their turn. Maybe use the D1 bot in Discord so everyone can see it as we go along. -

First you guys should try climbing it up. Wesk and Argo will go through the ducts since Argo can't climb, should meet back up with you at the landing pad on the top floor? EDIT: There's also the concern of structured time too. Wouldn't want to act 4 times each while the Imps are stuck in 1 action per turn 'n' stuff. -

I'll take it unless anybody else wants to. I've got 3g Perception and have established Wesk is being attentive. -

Yeah, with a trained assist it's highest attribute and highest skill coupled together. Untrained assist is just adding a boost die. -

That would be very entertaining, not gonna lie. The aftermath not so much, though. Gotta wait for our slicer to try and knock down the elevator (which they already asked for a difficulty, not sure if you missed that @Edgehawk) and maybe climb the line up, or just go through with the duct plan. -

Wesk and Argo were sitting ducts by Hugo's side, with the Anooba very visibly on edge as it bared its fangs and growled at the continuously deteriorating doors of the lift. Wesk, trying to keep the Anooba at bay, ran his hand through its fur, whilst also looking around for alternate options. As Charon shouted out, his eyes darted towards her, spotting the conduit tube and figuring out the plan. He nodded in acknowledgement and turned to Hugo. "We must go now. Crawl through the duct or climb after the lift drops." His speech was somewhat difficult to decipher, as the thick Kyuzo accent of his' messed up some of the pronunciations and jumbled up some of the sound together. -

I don't recall seeing Anooba in Rebels, I think you might be confusing them with Loth-wolves. The only Anooba I know have been shown in TV are those in Clone Wars' Citadel Arc and Marrok, Embo's pet. I'm down to go into the ducts with Argo and Wesk, but if it makes it easier to manage, I can narrate Wesk carrying Argo up the shaft or something. I'd just rather not get one too many GM handouts. -

Reminder that they are PC's on the other side. While yes, they are actively hunting us down as well, let's try not to aim for a PTK right away on either side, so we can all enjoy the campaign. As for the plan, I think we'll be splitting up into the people that climb and my characters who will go into the duct when they notice it. We should all probably catch up to the narration and plan iC. -

Don't need to drop them to the bottom level, just enough so we can access the cable line and climb it. As for cutting the locks and stuff, I'm not too sure, but that's what Bonn'Uss is going to attempt. Though- I'm starting to think that Wesk and Argo will need to take the ducts, since Argo can't exactly climb a cable, so I suppose we'll have to split up temporarily? -

Okay so... We're in a tough spot here. I'm thinking we could maybe sabotage the lift to fall down one level and we then climb the cable up`, but not sure that's possible with a lightsaber melting through the lift doors. Wesk and Argo could easily crawl into the ducts as they both have the Swift talent, but they might just end up trapped there, and also the others might fall behind. Those are the two options I'm seeing so far. Dropping the elevator one level and trying to climb the cable it is. Did we flip a destiny token for the elevator to have a fail-safe cable already or do we still have to do that? -

Wait, is it really our only way out? Couldn't we go the opposite way or something? Not trying to be a boring bantha podoo but I don't think facing the Imp PC's will end well.. -

Just to clarify, we're on the outside of the lift, right? They're stuck inside and the Rebels tried to attack them from the level below us? Probably an obvious question but my imagination is really poor when it comes to imagining environments. -

For the longest time, Wesk had been on the run from the Imperial Forces. He had fled Phatrong after being ratted out by a Bounty Hunter, he had escaped the various gangs of Tatooine with a newfound companion, and he had just barely slipped out of Imperial reach from Saleucami not long after. At last, he had found a new destination to head towards thanks to Zyi Unx, a contact he met in Saleucami before his departure, who gave him directions and told him to seek out a Melitto by the name of Scarpa Flek. The very same day of his arrival, one of the Rebel Intelligence officers guided him below into the lower levels of the Rebel station. Yet, it seemed as if fate would not allow Wesk to lie low for long, regardless of where he ran, for Watercrest Outpost would fall under attack, days after he settled down. While the Imperial Task Force above continued to fight back against Rebel forces, Wesk found himself in the lower levels, along with his inseparable Anooba. Again, he was forced to think of a way to escape the Imperials. Every day that passed made him feel like the chance of a life of peace and quiet like before was drifting farther and farther away. He hastily gathered his belongings, hoisting the large duffel bag on one shoulder, while his other shoulder supported the large, cumbersome bowcaster, which he had collected from his home-world the night he fled from it. << Come, Argo. We must keep moving. >> He spoke to the Anooba in his native tongue. He adjusted his war shield atop his head, using it like a wide-brimmed hat, as was a common tradition among his people. Argo, always by his side, seemed quite anxious at the dangerous situation, always attentive and alert to the chaos and panic that occurred around them.
