Critting them back (Aim): 4eA+1eB+1eD+1eC+1eS 1 success, 2 advantage 10 Damage, Pierce 5. In the case they're still up, I'm gonna use those 2 advantage for an immediate maneuver which I'll use to command Argo to bite. Bark bark: 2eP+1eA+1eC+1eD+1eS 1 success, 2 advantage, 1 Triumph (Evil laughter) 8 Damage, Pierce 1. In the case they're still up, that's a crit and Ensnare 1. -

I turn my eye the other way for a weekend and suddenly we have the least combat focused character dealing 70 Strain Damage... Sheesh. Are the troopers I was targeting still up? And if so, can Wesk team up and bite-shoot this round? EDIT: Those bastards shot and critted my dog. Time to crit them back. -

Argo and Wesk both were distracted by the explosions going off in the distance, only for the two to be drawn back to reality by a well placed shot that burnt into the Kyuzo's shoulder. He flinched, letting out a groan of pain as he held his now injured shoulder, but still, he would continue to fight. The Anooba, back in the game, darted onto one of the fire team members, barely avoiding blaster fire before latching onto their ankles with a ferocious bite. Even if the Imperial soldier tried to shake it off, the fangs of the hound were quite difficult to get rid of. At the same time, Wesk shifted his position, his weight still balanced on his knees as he took careful aim at the Death Trooper that had taken a shot at him. After careful aiming, he squeezed the trigger, unleashing a devastating bolt of red plasma that pierced straight through the back of the Death Trooper's knee, sending them tumbling down onto the ground from the powerful hit. The Kyuzo took a quick glance back at his companion to make sure it was still unharmed, and then turned towards his other teammates. Even though the Imperials were being worn down, so were his teammates. Although his hands never let go of his bowcaster, he began considering alternative ways to escape. -

You got it! I'll be narrating in a second. Also marked my strain for the double maneuver, should be 10/18 ST so far. -

Returning fire at the Death Trooper (Aim): 4eA+1eB+1eD+1eC+1eS 2 successes, 3 advantage Biting Fire team 1: 2eP+1eA+1eC+1eD+1eS 1 success, 1 advantage Both hit! Wesk for 11 Dam, Pierce 5; Argo for Dam 8, Pierce 1. I'll trigger knockdown for Wesk's bowcaster and recover a strain, and then use Argo's advantages to pass a boost! -

For reference: Wesk and Argo have been targetting Fire team 1, correct? Then the Death Trooper from Fire team 2 opened fire on Wesk, right? If so, I'm gonna take a double manuever to direct Argo to attack the Fire team it engaged, and then aim and fire at the other Death Trooper at opened fire on me. -

Wesk continued to just barely avoid some blaster fire, ducking and weaving out of the way of some blaster bolts, and yet, he was not perfect. Though some bolts clanged against his helmet, some others struck and burnt straight through his armor and into his body, leaving a charred hole in his armor behind. << Argo, attack! >> He shouted out to his companion, to which the canine quickly responded. With a masterful flip, Wesk switched his position and knelt down once more, taking careful aim before unleashing a volley of suppressive fire at his opponents to aid Argo in its task to close the distance. His aim was put off by the cover and the fire he had taken, but still, it was an effective tactic that forced his foes to stand back, giving time for Argo to engage. At the sound of the explosion, Argo immediately froze and skidded on the ground, watching the shuttle go up in flames. Wesk turned his attention away from his scope and towards the flying debris of the craft, using one arm to protect his eyes from the light and the dust kicked up by the explosion. -

Shooty shoot time! I'll take a double maneuver to aim and command Argo. Argo should go for the team that threatened it and double maneuver into engaged, then stop there. Meanwhile, Wesk will aim and provide cover fire. Cover fire for Argo! (Aim): 4eA+1eB+1eD+1eC+2eS 0 successes, 3 advantage Would like to recover some strain with those 2 advantages, then pass a boost to the next person thanks to Wesk's cover fire. -

Wesk's eyes widened and he stepped back, realizing that they had been set up. Immediately, he ducked and side-stepped, quickly embracing his companion to protect it from the incoming blaster fire. The blue rings landed on his shield and dispersed as sparks of equally vibrant blue electricity. However, as he stood up to rush at them, another accurate volley of stun fire hit his exposed body and caused him to stumble back slightly. He scrambled to pull his bowcaster from his back onto his hands, bringing the massive weapon to the front. In a single fluid maneuver, Wesk extended the bowcaster's sides and lowered to his knees, taking careful aim before unleashing a volley of his own. The powerful bowcaster kicked back on his shoulder, but each blaster bolt that he fired left a large carbon scoring mark after dissipating. To his fortune, a handful of lucky bolts rung true and struck the pair that had tricked them, though his aim was set on the one that had threatened Argo. Just as he was about to unleash a second barrage, his target seemingly used the punch of the blaster bolts to take cover. -

I like your funny words, magic man. Flipping a token and rerolling: 1eP 1 success That leaves me with 1 success, 2 threat. 10 Damage, Pierce 5 from my Kyuzo Bowcaster to the deceitful bastard that threatened my doggo. -

Maneuvering to draw, using an action to fire!: 4eA+1eD+1eC+1eS 0 successes, 1 threat The dice are fudged, I demand a recount. There's no way I could've failed a check that involves protecting my pet. In all seriousness, that's all I've got this round, I already took a huge hit to my strain, I'd rather not risk it too much right off the bat. -

I would use my hat, but considering I'd be dealing like 5 damage, I'm gonna resort to my bowcaster. Any defenses or is it a straight 2 Difficulty roll? @Edgehawk -

Noted down the 8 strain in my character sheet! (7 Stun Dam + 1 Dodge). Not happy with their threats, though. Mess with the doggo, you get the- uh... Bolt straight through the chest. What're their ranges, so I may hurl my frisbee or blast them with my bowcaster? -

Awkwardly, the Kyuzo and the Anooba arrived at the landing pad, with the latter once more shaking off the dust and the fuzz that it had picked up along the ducts. Wesk didn't seem to care much about the dust, only really wiping his face to clean himself when it actually affected him. He spotted the Delta-class shuttle and stopped on his tracks. He glanced around, looking for the people he had met just before the assault happened, or even another vehicle they could take. In his sweep, he spotted the Chiss and another shuttle in the nearby landing pad, and hastily began to run again along with his companion. Without much issue, they caught up to the Chiss and the tall human on the Zeta-class shuttle. Wesk's haste to leave the planet and his ease to trust others made him quite blissful to any hidden intentions the human could've had, yet Argo bared its fangs per usual, not trusting of anyone but Wesk himself. -

Just me trying to fight my fish memory, weren't there some captured Rebel agents here on the landing pad—? Are they actually here, and if so, are they visible or would Wesk just keep going without ever noticing they had been captured? -

After Argo had popped out of the vent, Wesk followed suit and leapt out with a fancy pirouette, which he landed gracefully with slightly bent knees. He adjusted his shield atop his head like a wide-brimmed hat, and gave a nod to his companion, signalling for it to follow. Argo shook its body, trying to get the pesky dust and fluff that had gotten stuck in its fur inside the ducts, then quickly followed in a sprint after the Kyuzo. By sheer luck, Wesk was right on time to spot Charon moving into the stateroom, and followed after her, hoping she had an idea of how to escape discreetly, to avoid further confrontation. He abruptly froze, however, skidding an inch or two on the floor as he heard the explosions, blaster fire and screams from the sub-level below them. Argo had the same reaction, though it looked up at Wesk, confused as to why he had stopped. In their escape, they had left the Rebels to fight off the Imperials, and for a moment, he considered going back to aid them, though the nudge of his Anooba partner snapped him out of the trance. If the Rebels had been taken down it was to give them a window to escape. With a newfound motivation to flee the scene, the Kyuzo gave Argo a pat on the head and rushed into the estate, only to spot more bodies sprawled on the floor. He didn't seem all to happy with the chaos that was ensuing, and very reluctantly opted to keep going up into the ventilation shaft. Using the previous technique, Argo went first with a boost from Wesk and began climbing and crawling to the best of its ability. Following soon after, Wesk leapt up onto the shaft on the ceiling and quickly began making his way through the ducts. Though the hardest part was keeping the Anooba climbing, their journey sped up once they traveled horizontal, as the Anooba was no longer slowing down Wesk and the two could pick up the pace. At the end of the ventilation shaft, they found themselves climbing up once more, pushing through the final stretch to reach the landing pad, where the two expected to be picked up, or at least find a way out of the planet. -

I'll post after Ensign, since Wesk would probably follow Charon through the ducts. -

I'm here! I haven't posted much, but I've been skimming over the other thread, just to keep up with what was going on. I'm all for splitting the game or trying to push on as a single shared game. Just wanna make sure, no more structured time, no checks, just narrate how we got to the landing pad? Also, I'm gonna assume we're forsaking the secondary objective you mentioned about the people apprehended on the same landing pad, just so we can get moving along faster. If not, do let me know, I think Wesk would definitely try to aid them in his escape. -

Ready to act whenever we get to my turn. Obviously gonna try to keep moving up, but might want to search for the more discreet climb. -

That's alright! It's been fun to compete with other PC's but perhaps it is for the best that we remain mostly separate. I look forward to what you have planned for us! -

@Edgehawk I hand-waved shutting off the duct, but I'd be willing to flip a destiny token to do so or just edit that part out of the post. -

As Charon and Bonn'Uss went up the shaft, through parkour and a ladder, Wesk quickly stood up from his braced position and spoke to his companion in his native tongue.<< Argo. Follow me. >> Once he had drawn the attention of his companion, he nodded towards the uncovered duct. Both scrambled to the ducts that had been previously opened by Charon herself. He stood guard and allowed Hugo and Argo to move in, before hastily picking up the duct's lid to put it back into place from the inside. After letting Hugo climb up first, Wesk picked up Argo and boosted his companion up. The Anooba did its best to climb up with the help of its two forward legs as well as using its head to push back against the opposite wall to keep itself climbing. Wesk, climbing right after Argo, had to give the canine a couple shoves to keep it climbing, but eventually they made their way up to the 1st Sublevel. Argo was the first of the two, and it took some effort for the hound to make it up, but with one last push from the Kyuzo, it was back on the first sublevel. Right after it, Wesk came out of the duct with a leap and a couple flips, holding onto his helmet for good measure. He promptly landed and bent his knees to cushion the fall. -
