Please try to take more list-build-y discussion-y type things elsewhere. This is intended to be a tool for people looking into buying the Droid Tri-Fighter. (Also please let me know if someone is already doing something like this).

  5. How would locking an obstacle protect against jamming (I'm not super familiar with what jamming does)?
  6. I was reading the cards for the new Nimbus Class V-Wing, and there's a card that confused me in there. It reads: During the System Phase, you may choose an object that you have locked at range 1–3. Another friendly ship at range 1–3 may acquire a lock on that object. What's the point of locking asteroids/debris/gas clouds? Can you destroy them? Or does "object" include other ships as well? Any clarifications would be nice!

  8. I know that this topic has probably been covered a bunch of times, but I want to get this straight. I am a casual player, and me and the people I play with have started playing with a 75 minute timer. We've been scoring games by calculating the amount of points each ship is worth, and when someone destroys that ship, that someone gets that amount of points. We also play it so that by the end of the game, if a ship is at half points, you get half of the amount of points that ship is worth. Am I playing this right? I've heard in a few places that the half points thing only happens with large ships, but when I watch tournament games on Gold Squadron Podcast, they do the half points thing for small and medium ships as well. Thanks!
  9. See, that's a problem I'm having. My ships seem to die really quickly, and when I do try to joust, my opponent has the advantage of a lot of firepower and he kills my guys really quick. But overall, thanks for the advice!
  10. There is none. Fly your ships normally, and if it comes up, celebrate even if the reroll doesn't improve the result. That's all you can ask of a 1-point upgrade. I don't know... I feel like it might be better to have 199 points instead for a better chance to choose who goes first
  11. I could switch it for Plasma Torps. or Ion Torps... I don't know if that would really be much of an improvement

I took everything off of the ARC, gave Anakin Passive sensors and gave the Jedi R4 Astromechs. This way I also have a better chance of choosing who goes first

  16. A problem that I've had flying ARCs (and clones in general) is that I've found it really hard to keep them alive. They seem to die really quickly, and when I try really hard to keep them alive, they don't end up doing much, but if I just go for it with them, they don't live long enough to do anything either. Any insights on how I could get better at this?

One problem I feel like I have is that it feels like 2 or 1 force Jedi are almost not worth using because I need force to activate Fine tuned controls, defend, and that will leave me with only one force next turn and I can't use the pilot ability. This might just be a problem with how I'm playing it
  20. Yeah, I got the N-1 Naboo Starfighter a week or two ago. I've been trying some more pure aces lists lately, and I thought that it would be a good addition.
  21. Hi. I am a new X-Wing player and think its a great game. However, I was wondering if anyone had any tips. I play Republic and my family member-who got into X-Wing at the exact same time as I did- plays Separatist. We primarily play against each other and he has won every time. I have tried many many different lists but he always seems to be able to swarm me and win no matter what I do. I have scoured the internet for any strategy tips for the Republic but haven't really found anything. I got the Guardians of the Republic Squadron Pack (Delta-7 & 2 V-19 Torrents), a Delta-7 pack, and an ARC-170 pack. My family member did pretty much the same thing (A Bellubab, 2 Vultures, a Nantex, and a Sith Infiltrator). Are his ships just inherently better? I'm on a tight budget so I can't really go out and buy 3 of every ship. If there's a website/youtube channel or any kind of resource that I haven't yet found, please tell me (I have already found Crabbok and Hairy Nick, but they haven't helped a whole lot). Any tips or strategy guides will help! Thanks!
