  1. Honestly I think a limit on standby token sharing would be good, like maybe X standby tokens shareable per turn. I don't want to see sentinel nerfed because it's perfectly fair on any other unit.
  2. i'd love to see more options in terms of list building. there's a reason i got 3 squads of storms and only 2 of shoretroopers. I enjoy diversity in my core units, and with luck I'll have a real reason to buy rebel veterans and/or fleets, even though I'm a total nutjob regarding running Triple Mandalorians.
  3. if they give CIS Maul's supercommandos and the republic Deathwactch I'll lose it.. Imagine having Maul with Rook Kast and another supercommando duking it out with Bo Katan, (younger) Ursa Wren, and a nite owl.
  4. completely agree. I'd love "tournament legal" templates of terrain placements on generic preset maps. I'm just kind of winging it with my friends when it comes to placing terrain. I'm doing ok, having generally some shooting lanes but covered areas that melee units can use to reach the middle with minimal fire, but also having a flank that's more open so you have a bit of both. Still, having a map I can look at and say "ok lets get it close to this" would work wonders.
  5. if they cheapen the rebel officer upgrade and cheapen fleets by perhaps 4 points I think it'd be a good mixture. A 1 per army CQC specialist corps unit could be fun to play with. not to mention a price reduction would make them less risky to bring before over a naked rebel trooper unit
  6. oh god if this happens my friend's gonna freak.. He ordered ARCs at scalper prices (60 bucks) and when they came it was fleet troopers. thankfully he got refunded by the site he bought them from, but still that was a hearbreaker
  7. yeah they are now, but for a bit after 9 they werent. now lets hope B2s get into stock again...
  8. Saber tank was in stock for like 20-30 minutes, too... Thank god my friend ordered, so we can see an AAT Saber fight. Prequel era fights were getting stale. my one friend managed to nab a box of BXs but other than that their pool is P1 clones+ B1s, Obi Wan and Rex+ Dooku Grievous and Bane, BXs, and a BARC. needless to say the games get stale and clones feel quite shite
  9. Aaaand they are out of stock again
  10. Yeah it does suck when that happens. a stormtrooper squad with a DLT and an extra dude knocked my mandalorian squad to two from 4 , and my friend's Mandalorian squad got plucked down to two frmo 4 from one Iden attack with an aim token.
  11. Yeah, my friends had an amateur game on sunday and my rebel friend ran two mandos, one wren with sabine and one normal. Clan Wren wrecked house on a lovely flank while his normal mandalorians were maneuvered too bravely into the line of fire of Iden. She used her 1 pip, and after a poor dice roll two mandalorians were dead. they managed to tie up inferno squad for 2 turns so they did their job but it wasn't optimal. Still, the holding of the line gave my friend the win while Luke, Sabine, and Clan Wren rolled up his right flank.
  12. I don't think I agree with Mandalorians, but what's your reasoning? I love running them so i'd like to see more opinions
  13. Looks fantastic, but do those pip cards apply for the whole game? like if you activate his 3 pip and later on arent at range 1-2 of a friendly unit at the start of his activation does he gain supression?
  14. haven't had an experience to see it in action in person since my seppy friend didnt by one since my republic friend cant get a saber tank, but i'd probably say the AAT is slightly better thanks to the more reliable damage output and cheaper fully effective kit. AAT with Lok Durd and high energy shells is 187 points, and if you want to be fully prepared for armor 197 for the armor piercing shells as well, but even if you go base AAT the barrage keyword is nutty enough to make naked AATs terrifying If you want a saber tank to be equally as potent on a battlefield as an AAT you'd need Plo Koon, although veteran clone pilot could work better if you want a more passive clone supporting play style or 5 for Ayala if you really like action economy. From here imo you have two options. One being a pure beam cannon loadout, which lets you have a guaranteed arsenal 2 usage every round of combat. This is definitely where the saber tank could shine over the AAT. getting in range of a group of baddies and chucking 4 reds, 2 blacks, and 2 whites into one unit and then chucking 2 reds each into two others is terrifying. if you're in danger of being blasted in this spot you can proc Plo Koon and have 2 dodges and essentially guarantee being here the next turn, disrupting the enemy army. Of course for 209 points if you bring Plo Koon, this better be the case. Two would be a more missile centric loadout, with Plo Koon for more aggressive or either of the others for more supportive. You'd take the Twin laser turret since it'd only be firing when you're cycling your missiles anyway, so the points saved there would go into either armor piercing shells or bunker buster shells. High energy seems like a waste since you'd either take them for just the dice or not use your main weapon to proc high velocity. Bunker buster would be good against entrenched, while armor piercing for a "screw armor" loadout. Either way you'd be dropping 203-205 points, assuming you're bringing Plo Koon. I think it's certainly fine as is since the saber tank is certainly paying a little bit for not having AI:Attack base and having speed 2, but the AAT doesn't quite need speed 2 either. I also prefer the AAT's rear arc weakpoint over the saber's less severe rear and side weakpoints, which seems like it should be the reverse case since the saber is more likely to get sideshot. Still the saber is a great piece of your army, and I think it is in a fine spot for sure. We can certainly wait to see if this would change after the T-47 and AT-ST get some much needed love.
  15. I do agree that the original factions should get some identity regarding unique keywords but I don't think that will happen until late 2021 or 2022 when the clone wars releases are more caught up and we cant get away with this method of balancing any longer. For empire i would enjoy something that gives them bonuses to attacking suppressed units, but for rebels i did enjoy the boost to a unit's performance via lost models that was thrown around here. For now though I think this game's unit variety can keep the balance fun and engaging assuming the clone "trimming" does enough to liven up the higher level meta, and the price reductions of units forgotten like the T-47, AT-ST, upgraded rebel troopers, fleets, vets, storms, etc. can bring them back up to par with the new heavier hitters like my beloved Mandalorians
  16. I'll agree that the clones are supposed to feel better than the empire, but adversely the empire needs more bodies if we're going down that route. I think the changes coming up should fix the matter though. A light trim to the republic and letting some of the weaker units of the OG factions get some more light should fix the matter. if the AT-ST gets some price buffs like the T-47 air speeder i think it'll be fine.
  17. Sick! you guys made a great point about using offensive push, although I do think a double Mandalorian Resistance+Clan Wren composition would be equally as useful as the other comps
