  1. I'd be surprised if CIS ships had squadron-protecting ship tiles and Officers, because virtually all of their squadrons are droids, so it seems unlikely the CIS would put much effort into protecting them. I can't think of any CIS commander from the Prequels or Clone Wars series who showed any concern for droid-craft, so there isn't a named character who could be a CIS Officer that provides defensive or evasive buffs for squadrons. But any CIS ship with the Offensive Retrofit slot could equip Reserve Hangar Deck and replace a destroyed Vulture Droid squadron. That's something!
  2. I like the idea of replacing the Combat Refit with a Star Destroyer. That re-classification would at least give the Interdictor access to the Seven Fleet Star Destroyer ship title. The Interdictor should have more than one ship title.
  3. I agree, Piett is great with the SSD. Many players auto-include Jerjerrod on the SSD because the huge ship doesn't have yaw on its maneuvers. But Nav commands enable the SSD to turn, just like any other ship. The SSD auto-generates a token for a dial, which means the SSD can Nav Dial and turn, bank the token; and next round, reveal a different dial, and use Piett's ability use the Nav token as if it was a dial, and turn the SSD again. For me, I always use the Executor ship title with Piett so I can bank extra command tokens. Having a supply of Nav tokens will keep the SSD turning for multiple rounds. But the best is using Repair dials and tokens to keep restoring/moving shields and repairing hull damage. Piett+Executor allows the SSD to mitigate a lot of damage -- especially from swarms of smaller ships -- and keep the huge ship from being crippled. That's why I prefer Piett over Jerry.
  4. Any news about Clone Wars Armada would be welcome! If I'm not mistaken, FFG tends to post articles on Tuesdays, but if today's Acclamator-II pic on social media is a tip off, maybe we'll be seeing something tomorrow (Friday). I wonder if it'll just be about the Acclamator or if it will be about the entire Republic Fleet Starter? It would be great to learn more about the Consular Corvette too.
  5. The Acc-II's firing arcs are very impressive! I wonder what the Acc-II's points cost will be? The Acc-I costs 66 points and has one less die, the blue die, in its front arc, so the Acc-II must be more expensive. But I don't think the points difference between the Acc-I and Acc-II will be as large as the Vic-I and Vic-II, which is 12 points. One additional blue in front and a blue die in the rear arc swapped from a black die probably equates to 70-75 points, which is comparable to a Vic-I and significantly cheaper than a Vic-2. The Acc-II will be a real contender! I hope the pic that FFG posted on social media is a hint that they will release a Preview article soon. I can't wait!
