Craftidore reacted to drainsmith in After the Forums are Gone
My first effort to save things is going to be the grab the files for everything linked in the Master Resources thread. Anything in there I'm going to take as permission to re-host the latest version available. If there is a link to external hosting (OneDrive, Google Drive, etc) I will provide the link as well as the latest file available. I won't be updating on my own. If you have anything in that list and don't want it hosted by me, please let me know. If your file updates at some time in the future and would like me to update it, please let me know. If you ever want it taken out of there, please let me know.
Everything will be available in the Community Content section of my Dropbox Dispensary. Each item gets its own folder named for the title and author (as best as I can determine). I will only get things that can be downloaded. I won't be trying to scrape disparate comments in threads or trying to get gmbinder to work.
Additionally, I'll be taking @DarthDude's FAQ thread and hosting it in my Dropbox. I'm going to look at seeing what needs updated from the last version of the PDF he posted and also redoing the layout for it to match official Genesys styling.
If there is anything else you believe absolutely needs to be saved, please let me know. My dropbox link will be available for as long as I'm alive and probably for a while after that.
There are plenty of other places you can go to talk about Genesys and share files. I know not everyone likes these, but they work well for what they are and keep us going until Edge spins up their own forum.

http://www.fantasyflightgames.fr/news/article/des_changements_majeurs_chez_ffgfr
In this French language article, FFG talks about the closing of the French counterpart of these forums on September 1st. It is a reasonable assumption that other language forums will follow at some point. We can hope then that Edge Studio will have their own forum spun up.

There's also this. The Adversary Anthology has all the published NPCs; Species Study has all player character archetypes and species; and the Equipment Encyclopedia has all the gear, weapons and armour listed.

Craftidore reacted to kaosoe in Genesys Mistborn
I have nothing to contribute to this thread since I am not familiar with the source material.
However, I did want to point out that it's early for me. I just woke up, and I haven't had my usual cup of coffee yet. So I totally thought that said Alimony instead of Allomancy. I know gamers like their subsystems and special rules, but I thought that one was a weird choice.

Craftidore got a reaction from pedrop in Genesys Mistborn
I am creating an unofficial setting based on the Mistborn universe by Brandon Sanderson.
You can find it at this link.
The setting has not been completed.
I intentionally haven't read any material from the Mistborn Adventure Game by Crafty Games. All descriptions are my own.
I am using GM Binder to create the document.
I will post here whenever I release an update.
Current Version: 0.0.3.0
When I refer to a specific "Era" of Mistborn, I am referring to these (they are further explained in the pdf).

Craftidore reacted to c__beck in Genesys Foundry Questions
The basic info can be found right here. And of course there's the content guidelines you have to follow.
And, if you decided to go through with publishing on Foundry, there's the nice and long content agreement contract you have to agree to that spells out what you can and cannot do and what you're able to use and not use. There is no direct link to the content agreement, and it's pretty long, so I can't link it nor will I copy/paste here. Besides, it's mainly just the legalities of what the content guidelines say in more plain English.
The long and short of it is this: you can use the Genesys name, mechanics, symbols and rules. Heck, you can even make supplements for both Terrinoth and Android!
There's a lot of assets you can use, including art and an InDesign template. @drainsmith has a template for Affinity Publisher if you don't want to shell out the cash every month to Adobe. But honestly, while GM Binder is OK for home-use I honestly don't think you'll get a lot of sales because it's not a professional publishing platform and the lack of quality will be quite evident to those thinking about purchasing it.
But don't fret! There are a handful of people here who have the tools, talent and time to help you out (or even do it for you, perhaps) if you don't want to do the layout yourself.
As to your question of how it works, it's pretty simple. You make a thing. Turn it into a PDF. Click the button on DTRPG to add it to foundry. Set it up: page count, price, author, artist(s) if any, any collaborators, etc. Click Publish.
Then don't forget to advertise your new thing! Tell people here, talk about it on the Good Facebook Group, reddit, discord, etc. Let us know you did an amazing thing!

Craftidore reacted to Kualan in [UPDATE 15/12/19] Heroes On Both Sides - An unofficial Clone Wars supplement feat. 300+ NPCs, new playable species and more!
Hello there folks!
Some of you may be familiar with the Clone Wars adversary cards I made (which you can view HERE) that made stats for a whole host of Clone Wars-era NPCs from named Jedi right down to the likes of Black Sun foot soldiers and Mandalorian police officers.
Well for my next project I wanted to take that one step further and take those CW adversaries and turn them into a full-blown sourcebook in the same vein as the official Allies & Adversaries.
[UPDATED 15TH DECEMBER - FINAL BONUS CHAPTER NOW COMPLETE]

I've done a few pages to get familiar with the SWRPG style guide, but am looking for feedback before I commit to using the same template for dozens more characters. So here you go, take a peak and let me know what you all think:
There will be a credits page in the final version that identifies as much of the art/artists used as possible. However a big mention goes to https://fanggrip.wordpress.com/2015/04/17/edge-of-the-empire-style-guide/ for the style guidance and https://kainrath.wordpress.com/ for the background page images.

Click here for SW:EotE Character Generator - Latest Release
Hi everyone. Thought I’d let you all know that I’ve been working on a SW:EOTE character generator for the past month. It is very close to completion; I’m mainly still adding data (some descriptions are not in place yet). It pretty much allows you to create any character you can possibly create from the Core Rulebook. It also supports special talents such as Jury Rigged, Dedication, etc., and allows you to add any weapon or armor attachment you want. I’ve created a four-page character sheet that you can print, based around the design concept from the characters in the Basic Game (which I thought was cleaner than the sheet found in the Core Rulebook).
Future additions will include starships/vehicles, group sheets (including obligation tables), and NPC and encounter group generator.
I've written this in .NET using C#, so it'll be for the Windows platform and will require the .NET 4.0 framework. The data files are all in XML, so they can be easily modified if you want to add your own piece of equipment, new skills, etc. I currently do NOT have a data editor in the works, but I may write one if I get enough requests.
I’m including some screen shots here so you can take a look at how the screens are laid out and what the character sheets look like. I'd appreciate feedback on how the layout could be improved, features I may have missed, requests for new features, organization of the character sheets, etc. If you have any specific questions concerning how features are implemented, just ask!
Again, I'll be releasing the actual product for testing shortly, so please bear with the screen shots for now.
Thanks in advance,
OggDude

Craftidore reacted to c__beck in Titanfall: Genesys
You bet! And a bit of an update is that I hope to have the archetypes finalized by the weekend. A bit of a teaser:
Titanfall: Genesys is, at it's heart, a war story. In keeping with this theme the following archetypes are available to players.
The Brute is a powerhouse that believes in brawn over brains. Archetype ability: Push the Limit (before making a Brawn skill check you may suffer 2 strain to add to the check) Cyborgs believe in augmenting themselves above all else. Archetype abilities: Starts with two cybernetics, More Machine than Man (first 3 cybernetics don't reduce ST; to Medicine checks to heal a cyborg), Backup Power (once per encounter, heal strain equal to 2 + number of cybernetics, suffer 3 strain at the end of the encounter) The Generalist is a jack of all trades and master of none. Archetype abilities: more starting XP than the other archetypes, Starting skills (starts with 1 rank in two different non-career skills) Leaders are the heart of the squad, directing their troops to the best of their abilities. Archetype abilities: Starting skills (one free rank in either Leadership or Cool, one free rank in Knowledge [Warfare]), Disconnected (Add to Charm, Leadership and Negotiation checks against those not in a [para-]military organization) The Specialist is the best there is at what they do. Archetype abilities: Starting skills (one free rank in 5 career skills instead of the normal 4), Neat Trick (once per encounter, suffer 2 strain to add to the next career skill check you make) Note that the names of the archetypes and abilities are still being worked on and subject to change. But there it is!

Hey OggDude,
I love your character generator. Any chance that you could add a ctrl+s key combination in the Data Editor which would act like hitting the "Save" button?
Thanks,
