  1. I would recommend against using iconic named characters from other franchises for art, like Elspeth from MtG here.
  2. Not a fan of the quest, but will try to get it because it has the final player card.
  3. Unpopular opinion, but I think LotR is often badly balanced for multiplayer, because there are many effects that affect EVERYONE at once, on top of that each player drawing a card EACH, so for example drawing treachery in 4 player game is equal to drawing 4 encounter cards because it affects everybody, and it gets worse with various effect such as "reveal 1 card per player" etc. I'm so glad they got away from this insananity in Arkham Horror LCG where most encounter card affect either the person who drew them, or a specific person that matches the card's condition, instead of everybody at once.
  4. Interesting. While playing it solo, I was under impression that this quest becomes easier with the player count, due to there being only 1 extra encounter card from night regardless of the number of players, so if in solo you're basically drawing twice the number of encounter cards during the night turn, in 4 player you're drawing just 25% more encounter cards, therefore less pressure.

  6. Yeah, stopping producing nightmare halfway through is weird.
  7. I'm asking because of this treachery: It came out outside of the quest phase, and I had a side quest in play. I just "chose" a different quest from theone I chose during the quest phase. Was this legal, or was I obligated to resolve the alternative effect?
  8. Sorry to piggyback on this, but perhaps you know: is it possible to choose a different quest card to be current quest outside of the quest phase?
  9. Have you tried selective mulligan instead of full mulligan? Try it, it might smooth out your experience.
  10. Owning several different copies of the same card must be annoying.
  11. Is it hard to keep all the errata in the head at all times? Or you have erratad versions of them cards/use inserts?
  12. The only house rules I'm using so far is when I mulligan, I choose which cards to mulligan individually (like in Arkham Horror LCG), instead of dumping the entire hand. I also made a hourserule for player doomed cards to not increase thread of players who are not directly affected by them to make things like Grima bearable in multiplayer, but haven't had a chance to play multiplayer yet.
  13. I don't think contracts should have ever been "auto include", otherwise there wouldn't be much point. The main attraction of contracts that I see is creating/enabling/supporting archetypes that were previously impossible/disadvantaged. The main goal is achieving a fantasy of the dream deck that can also hold it's own, not helping minmax.
  14. Especially? Cards are much, much easier to shuffle in sleeves than without em, they just slide effortlessly between each other instead of getting stuck on each other.
  15. I'm a bit worried about getting everything game has to offer before it ends as well. Couldn't find any modern packs online. Ordered the bunch of odler ones that I could find and didn't have. Having my fingers crossed I'll be able to get Smeagol and Saruman at the very least.
