Yeah easy is probably better until you get a bigger collection or more experience. Also, the Innsmouth scenarios are very hard so I would not recommend playing them on anything but easy, and even then with a limited card pool it might be a little punishing.

There's an Arkham Horror playlist on Spotify that I found with a lot of spooky music, we usually listen to that. Sometimes when we want to get really creepy we turn off all of the lights and put a lamp on the table.

That has happened to me a couple times and eventually they said that they didn't have enough stock to complete my order. It might work out, but when it's happened to me that's why. You might want to make sure that there are other places to get dark revelations before it's impossible to find, in case ffg cancels.

Wendy's Amulet and Lucky!

And hundreds (edit: perhaps even thousands :D) of arguments on ArkhamDB and Reddit. -
Well you can't save them all. That scenario in particular is one of my favorites from the cycle, is this your first time playing Dunwich?

In general no, but I think there are a few edge cases where you are at one location but investigating another, like with In The Know. If you were on a location with a locked door and you investigated another with In The Know and failed, I think that you could play LWIF to discover 2 clues on your location.

Midnight Masks Question - Potential Spoiler
Jaync replied to Sir_Blacksoutalot's topic in Arkham Horror: The Card Game
If it does not specifically state otherwise (investigators at your location spend X resources or something like that) then no, only the investigator preforming the action. And no, resources cannot normally be shared unless an effect lets you. -
Yeah, when I finally got coin capsules and a good bag it was a game changer. Capsules should be your first purchases so that your chaos tokens don't get faded and dirty from being unprotected and then stay like that forever. I was lucky that I had 2 cores so the extra set of tokens were still brand new when I got the capsules and now they look great in them.

I have a quick question about Gloria's control who goes first during the mythos phase ability, does that mean she just chooses in what order players reveal their cards or can she actually change the order once a card is drawn, therefore controlling who draws it. I was assuming it was the first one, just wanted to make sure.

Midnight Masks Question - Potential Spoiler

IMO Midnight Masks gets MUCH easier after having played through it a couple times, knowing where the cultists will spawn and how you can deal with them helps a lot. As does Dynamite : ) -
Midnight Masks Question - Potential Spoiler

MM is a really hard scenario to "win", 2 cultists is actually pretty good. 1. There should always be at least one location revealed (the one you are standing on, locked door can attach to locations with 0 clues), and if for some reason there were no locations revealed then I think this card would just get discarded. EDIT: You would actually just choose an unrevealed location without looking at the revealed side and attach it there. 2. Yes, locked door only prevents you from taking an investigate action, so the location acts normally except it cannot be investigated (but clues can still be discovered through cards like Working a Hunch that automatically discover clues). 3. Yes, but locked door can also attach to locations with 0 clues if there are no revealed locations with clues. 4. Yes, as I mentioned above auto-clue effects like Roland's ability and Working a Hunch will work. I think that the designers were trying to make Locked Door as versatile as possible so that it can easily be used in future scenarios. Actually, I think that this would make the card too tame because then the only way to determine what location it attached to (besides for looking at the revealed sides, which is a no-no) would be the player chooses, and the players could just put it at a location that they will never need to go to. However, from a thematic perspective you are right it would make more sense that you couldn't enter a location that has a locked door, IRL locked doors really don't stop you from looking through someone's journal they stop you from entering/leaving a place. -
I would like to agree that if someone else is providing scenarios, the investigator packs are good, and if not you should get a campaign. If you (or anyone else) is looking for investigator decks, the Jacqueline Fine Starter Deck is available right now on FFG. I would suggest anyone who wants it getting it ASAP, because there are likely only a few copies. The other starter decks are very hard to find at a cheap price (ugh scalpers) and they likely won't be reprinted until February.

Ah nice, my barkham comes today also! Can't wait to use the dogs in campaigns. Oh wait what I meant to say FFG is that I will follow all of the rules regarding the dog investigators and "not" use them in any campaigns. ; D -

Jaync replied to Icechamber's topic in Arkham Horror: The Card Game
Yeah that's true. I know this one changes a good bit based on doubt/conviction, and either way it's still going to be fun. -

Jaync replied to Icechamber's topic in Arkham Horror: The Card Game
Also what really sucks about all of this is that the scenario (or at least the conviction route) has been completely spoiled for me. Back when I was getting into the game I watched a team covenant vid of them playing through it, and as hard as I try to forget, I just can't. So it's really annoying me that I'm waiting so long and going through so much trouble to get a scenario that I already know what's gonna happen and it's probably not gonna be as fun as the others. -

I actually saw this before it was sold out and I didn't want to pay the shipping/I thought it might not be legit. And now the price has been changed to $188 somehow. When I saw it in stock it was like $18. -

Just curious, I know there aren't any left on that website but how did you even come across that site? Because I've gone almost 10 pages deep in search results and I didn't see that. Thanks! -

10 out of 10 for phantompalooza. Looks like I'm gonna be refreshing FFG 20 times a day for another few months... -

Jaync replied to Icechamber's topic in Arkham Horror: The Card Game
Yeah, but with how quickly those packs sold out I'm worried that Phantom might get snatched up again. But if they do a full reprint of the entire cycle I am hoping that they will print enough so they are available for more than 3 hours. -
