I'm not sure I understand the difference between "convert 2 fate to 1 success" and "convert up to 2 fate to 1 success." Do you mean you could convert up to 2 fate symbols each into a success (with the provision there are no nearby heroes)? If so I think that is a bit OP, especially considering Bilbo is very good at generating inspiration and has a high inspiration limit. Limiting it to one success would be on par with the Delver skill Shadow Sight, which does the same thing, but with the condition of being in darkness instead of having no nearby heroes. I'll agree, Self-Sufficient isn't a very strong card. It might get Bilbo out of a pinch every now and then and help conserve inspiration a little bit, but in my experience it doesn't come into play too often. I'm more interested in Self-Sufficient for the Hide keyword though, especially if I'm playing Bilbo since he has such a low damage threshold. Also, as a clarification, Self-Sufficient does not belong to Bilbo, but to the Burglar role.

You're welcome. I recently had the same question myself so glad I could help. Here is the text on Reforging: "After setup equip the Hammer and Tongs Trinket. During your turn, you may discard this skill to prepare a skill from your discard pile." The first line only applies during the setup of each adventure. Each time you have Reforging prepared, you can discard it to prepare a card from your discard pile. I haven't made it that far into the Haunting of Dale, so I can only speculate. If you look at the text for the Strike Keyword, is says: During your attack test, you may discard a card that has the "Strike X" keyword to add X hits to the attack. So it would depend on if the event you are referring to is classified as an attack test or not. Sometime the app will tell you specifically "this is not an attack test" or something like that in special situations.

That's not true. An enemy will stop once it is in range so if a ranged enemy is moving towards a hero, it should stop in an adjacent space. As for question 1, I think you are talking about the Smith 1 card, Reforging, which tells you to equip the Hammer and Tongs trinket. You prepare this at the start of the adventure during setup and place 3 depletion tokens on it, which you may use throughout that adventure. It is part of your gear, like your weapon or armor, not part of your skill card deck. And questions 3 I can't answer without more context. Which campaign is that from? I don't remember anything like that before, though I haven't gotten through the Haunting of Dale yet.

For those that haven't seen in other threads, the bug that prevented you from loading saved games has now been fixed.

I received mine today and I'll say the only figure I thought was a bit below the standard FFG has set was Ollie. He had some decent gaps as already pointed out and the left side of his helmet lined up a little funny down towards his shoulder. I don't care too much since once I get them painted and on the board I barely ever look close enough to notice. I managed to drop my Supplicant as I was getting ready to prime him and one of his hands broke off! I'm going to pretend he tried to steal a Silmaril from Morgoth...

There was another update that went out today. Did you have that downloaded? The latest on Android and Steam is V1.3.2

I agree, the software updates that came along with the last two new campaigns have been disastrous. I gave them a little bit of slack with Shadowed Paths because of the pandemic, but they should have that figured out by now.

You will have to choose alternate gear for some heroes. This can be done in the app during the campaign setup. There is a screen that shows each character's equipment. To change it, simply click on the gear you would like to change and select an alternate from the list. Of course selecting alternate gear is always an option, even if there are no conflicts with the default selections. I find playing around with different gear and roles for the heroes is quite fun and brings a lot of entertainment to the game.
